First off, the focus of this post is Crucible.
I am sure I am going to regret this, but perhaps it needs to be said. Bungie is planning on balancing the guns, which is nice, but this won't cahnge the fact that the classes themselves are unbalanced, or at least, the Titan is underpowered. I am hoping that the new Titan subclass will help even things out... but I am skeptical of Bungie.
I have been playing a lot of iron banner and I have played Trials. You see Titans every now and then, but the vast majority of PVP players are either hunters or warlocks, and the reason why should be obvious. Both can blink, both have bolt grenades, and their supers are generally more useful overall for most situations. Warlock bolt grenades can even light you on fire. Also, both the hunter and warlock have ranged melees. Titans can shoulder charge, but it is difficult to get close enough to do that, and often times a shotgun waits for you. Spike grenades can be deadly but are very difficult to place correctly compared to bolt grenades.
Now, lets see if the rest of you agree. What is your best PVP class?
-
Do titans even know what a weapon is? I continually get shoulder charged. Sometime I win sometimes not. I always seem to be the only guy that gets the fist of panic. Which seem impossible to stop. Pull out a gun and shot. Maybe that will work.

1 ReplyI main a Hunter for everything and am very good at it, but in PvP I do prefer the Titan over the Whorelock. #Defender5lyf
-
At the moment it's pretty balanced except for titan but that will change with the sunbreaker subclass
-
I have almost 20 days played on my titan and much less time on my warlock and hunter. Yet i get much better KDs in trials and clash on them than i do on my titan

2 RepliesEdited by iHernandezz: 8/6/2015 5:55:58 AMI hate titans, why? Because Is hard to kill them in the Crucible, especially their striker class. And its weird that you think that Warlocks are overpowered. I think Titans are overpowered in PvP . maybe you suck, just saying #warlock ftw
-
Thats because titans currently dont have a competitive subclass for crucible. Just by playing a titan, you already put yourself at a disadvantage
-
No, it's just a matter of understanding the best way to use each class. Or adapting your play style to a class. Personally I main a Striker Titan. But I view my super as a defensive weapon, not an offensive weapon. That forces me to get the majority if my kills at range, e.g. sniper rifle, pulse rifle, etc. My FoH is perfect for shutting down aggressive Hunters and Warlocks with shotguns and hand cannons. Simple adaption of subclass play style.

I main Titan because that felling when your tripled capped and there hole team are at A and you fist of havoc them

Edited by FullMeta0: 8/6/2015 5:23:30 AMUsually main hunter for PVP but been playing a lot on control lately with my brothers account (current) and his warlock and have been averaging a 1.89 I think. I just gotta say I seriously underestimated the power of strangers rifle. Not as OP as some PRs but I have been wrecking with it :D Edit: and those vortex grenades seriously put in work lol ppl just run straight into em

Damn u straight baby gurl

Warlock is my favorite now but nightstalker will be my favorite

The new titan subclass has a lot of synergy people haven't been able to play with yet. It has the possibility to be set up for a clutch PvP loadout. And It looks like hammers are a 1 hit kill withing a couple foot radius, plus damage resistance for you. Only issue is it seems very easy for a hunter to shadowshot you out of it, but that's a super for super deal, so that's balanced.
-
1 ReplyI'm way more experienced as a Titan but my Warlocks KD is higher. Just goes to prove OP's point.
-
10 RepliesDo you want to take a serious look at balance? Ok. Here are STATISTICAL FACTS: Top 20 playstation players: Hunter - 14 Warlock - 6 Titan - 0 Top 20 Xbox players: Hunter - 14 Warlock - 5 Titan - 1 Only a moron would ask for Titans to be nerfed. Don't be a moron.

5 RepliesEdited by yanoebyte: 8/5/2015 9:10:58 PMSatire? They need to nerf the radius of FoH. Everything else can easily be killed. Thats why you get the perks for it to be Unstoppable and such.
-
Titan, though I am aware of the problem.
-
Everyone picks hunters when warlocks is the better character
-
I do about the same with my Warlock and hunter.
-
24 RepliesAll of you little shits complain about titans being underpowered because all you see are blink shotguns and bladedancers. But when a hunter doesnt have their super they become the most useless
-
2 RepliesTitans suck for pvp. Trust me I have 2. If I go into the crucible I use my warlock with the ram. More health then a Titan, moves quicker, better grenades and easier to use the supers with out getting shot down or people running away from it.
-
8 RepliesTitans do seem less than capable in the Crucible. However they can still be formidable with their various grenades. The Striker's super is devastating as hell but, yes, there is the issue with getting in close enough to use it properly. The Defender's bubble shield is helpful and as a constant voidwalker user I honestly think that the Nova Bomb should only pop the bubble and not do significant damage to the occupants. That seems pretty cheap to me. The Sunbreaker's super looks like it may balance things out nicely since it has melee and range capabilities.
-
A titan is nothing more than a spartan, but my best class is a titan, just gotta know how to use em
-
The only three things about Titans that could use some adjusting are the lackluster Striker exotics, Storm Grip, and some of the weaker grenades like Spike or Pulse.
