Skyshock- Post 1.1.2

I've been in and around the new update to see how the changes would impact my gameplay and there's been hills, valleys, and meadows with this update, but I just got the first chance to test my mettle on Skyshock and it's definitely something I want to give feedback about. The discussion here will be around this map only. Firstly, I always grab a sniper on this map. Especially clash. I've seen more Patience and Time's on that map alone then I care to admit to. So when I tossed down my LDR 5001 with outlaw reload (very fast reload after a precision kill) and the crates being placed differently I knew this was going to get some getting used to. The map, in order to properly resupply sniper based players is definitely needing a faster timer for that map. Smaller maps? No issue with the resupply because most players don't try to maintain map control of any kind, simply walking into rooms with shotguns and the showdown of the century for the 10 millionth time is who has more Felwinter's Lie and Thorn support users (I have both and abuse them both btw, so be warned). Sniper/big maps like skyshock? Cut that timer in half is my recommendation. ESPECIALLY when you know Praedoth's Revenge is going to be present on that map. I can take my time for the outlaw perk, but others? Lol. They burn through sniper rounds faster then anything else because of the 6 shots in the chamber. **For the full two minutes of crate respawns, my entire team was without sniper rifle ammo because of flipped spawns. I don't care who you are, an entire team facing down snipers who clearly flip the team spawns needs to be resupplied. Second point: There is no reason acceptable in my books for forcing a team to be pinned down and shot up to death by an enemy team of snipers and then they grab all the vehicles we can't kill anymore due to scout rifles being present and them knowing how to aim with the vehicles. Balance. People need it. I was the only one to go positive in that match and that is only because the vehicles were killed off by me, enforcer medals popping left and right, because I'm not afraid to jump into a turret and make my opponents pay for walking too far forward. Twice I even got the enemy titan turret user to jump out and pop a bubble shield around the turret because they knew I was going to kill them if they didn't get out and engage me. That freed up my teammates to press for heavy ammo spawns on the outside and I saw all three of them die to sniper fire with a callout that one of those has a firefly effect. It's a pain in the ass to lose a heavy ammo spawn when three spawn, but to lose it because it is placed out in the open where the vehicles spawn? I know why it is out there. It's out there because of rocket launchers against vehicles. The pits and local debree around it confirm why you did it. It's still a heavy ammo crate Bungie and the only one on that area of the map. Players want rockets to use against each other. Anyways, they claimed the heavy ammo and I was well into my, "There's no way to pull back against these guys. They controlled the sniper ammo crates the entire time and had an early lead." We finally got two players in at the end. Recommendations: #1. All respawns for skyshockl guarantee one clip of special ammo. It does not stack up if you die continuously. 0 ammo? No problem. 1 bullet left? 1 bullet on respawn. #2. Diversify the special ammo crates. One or two on a respawn area is not a bad idea. Defensive tactics are a must against vehicles. #3. Respawn teams together rather then all separated. Like all respawns at a certain timer like you had available in some of the Halo games. What it is: You go out there, die, and you see a timer. The timer indicates when the next respawn is available. The timer might be ten seconds and next death be 1 minute. When you respawn? All of your recently dead teammates are there too. #4. Sectionalize the maps off from one another in terms of ammo crates being distinguished and distant from vehicles and vice versa. A special ammo crate, for example, should ideally not be near a pike or fire tank. Feel free to add your own suggestions for SKYSHOCK and the new clash gameplay mode.
