Dear Bungie, What I am about to suggest is not that big of a deal but would seriously create a nice aesthetic in the next update & I believe would be very achievable to do. Since we are on the topic of showing player individuality in 1.1.2 by allowing each to have the option of displaying their battle worn helmets in the social tower, we should have something else that can be interchangeable. It shouldn't take that much extra programming but it would be a nice addition to what would be player originality and more flavor! Not only should players be allowed to choose whether they want to display their helmets in the tower, but also should be able to choose which weapon slot they want to harness on their Body! For example, Some people like to be known as the lone sniper in the hunt so somebody with "patience & time" or "Ice breaker" would want to walk around the social environment honoring their beloved on their shoulder! But unfortunately that is not the case, sniper enthusiasts do not have that chance. Or maybe you are the explosive specialist and just love the envy of blowing everything up to bits and pieces. In that case you want to show off your "Truth", or "Dragons Breath", or better yet the almighty holy infinitely great super calafrahilistics expealodotioys "GALLLAJORN!!!!!!!" :) :) :) On your shoulder. But no you can not. Please if you like the idea of showing off your favorite go to weapons than please like this post and share it with fellow guardians. I do believe this should be simple coding that can be worked and accomplished in the next update and would be a big surprise for everybody as well. Please bungie read this post!
