Evidence of Evolution

Hello flood, this is NOT a debate thread or one where I'm looking to argue. I have a personal project that I'm wanting to look into. I want Evidence of Evolution. This evidence must be able to be cross checked, based SOLEY on facts. No opinions or non-factual statements. I want EVIDENCE that macro-evolution is possible, and that our world is moving from CHAOS to ORDER All people of all religions feel free to jump in. I will use what I find as a mock debate on Origins. I myself strongly disagree with Macro-Evolution for many reasons, only a few having to do with religion. That is my background for anyone interested. With that said, I AM NOT trying to spark debate. Thank you flood for your help. Edit 1: Thank-you to those whom have participated in this project. I believe I have gathered enough information, so I'm now going to retreat to my study and internal meditation for some time. Again, I am thankful to all of you.

  • Considering macro and micro evolution aren't real terms used when the theory of evolution was formed or in its current state they are irrelevant, however I will say that they are both biological evolution which is the exact same process. I.e. You can't believe in micro without macro, same process different time periods.

        • Look at human genome 2, millions of years ago this chromosome fused with another one making a total of 46 chromosomes in the human body, this explains why humans have 2 less chromosomes than chimps, bonobos, etc. Its proof that we share a common ancestor. Look into ring species. Essentially they are a species that branch of and over time changes occur due to their different locations. Over time the resulting species at the end of each branch cannot breed and produce offspring, making them a new species. This proves that one species can evolve into another one or more.

        • Wouldn't macro-evolution just be a large series of micro-evolutions? Large evolutions take thousands to millions of years to get to that point and often happen little by little.

            • Good place to start is at the beginning. Read On the Origins of Species by Darwin. I would also recommend The Selfish Gene by Richard Dawkins. Beyond that you can find mountains of peer reviewed studies and research online. In the last 150+ years nobody has been able to come up with a better answer than natural selection to explain our current state. If someone ever does they will be covered in Nobel prizes lol.
