More gestures, please.

I think it's fair to say that most Destiny players enjoy the gestures that they have available to them currently. I find it a nice touch that each race/gender has their own variation of dance. However, I'd really like some more options for gestures. It could be customized in the menu. My primary desire for more gestures is rooted in efficient communication with my teammates while I am unable to use a microphone. Yes, a person could send text messages through their console messaging system, but I think we all know how slow that can be. The main method of communicating with the gestures - at least, for me - comes from the text notification given to other players in the area (____ waves, ____ points at ______, etc.). As one could imagine, you can only express so much with the three verbs available. Having a message display when you sit would be a start, I guess. I'm being long-winded here, but I'll go with it and provide a summary of how I use the gestures to communicate. Skip this block if you don't care. Sit (even though there's no text notification) = waiting or 'be right back'. Dance = expression of excitement or eagerness, 'wow, that was pretty stupid of me' (jumping away from an enemy melee only to go right off a cliff, for example), or 'we just did something impressive'. Wave = 'over here' (or "I know you're trying to camp this hallway with your rocket launcher, but if you'd just turn for a second you could get a buff from my bubble that I made sure to not drop directly on you"), 'I'll do it', or 'yeah, I'm the one who got caught by the gorgons that time'. Point = 'look at this/that', 'this person has the gear/ability you're asking for, since you can't be bothered to check and no one else has a mic', performing some ritual that I'm assigned to (like bringing down the shield of the VoG Templar), or 'sniper camping ahead' (my favorite in crucible). I understand that a lot of it is not recognized as an attempt at meaningful communication by many players and that, even then, they'd be left guessing my meaning. Various crude visual gestures can be made if the other person is actually looking at my character, such as looking left/right and up/down for no and yes. On a related note, I'd really like to be able to put out the gesture notifications more fluidly than currently possible. Example: VoG Templar, I've just gotten into a decent position to nail the Templar and want to use a 'point' to let everyone else know that I'm about to bring its shield down, but I have to stand still for maybe half of a second before the game accepts my command. It's not major, but the two lasers that hit me during that time I could've avoided completely if I were allowed to, say, send the 'point' notification while I'm mid-jump or performing any action that's not standing still. Final suggestion: consider the people who don't own or have ready access to peripherals such as headsets. I appreciate what's going on with the whole voice chat capable thing in team play, but that shouldn't be considered the pinnacle of communication in the game. Besides, what if I'm playing late at night and have it on mute out of consideration to the people around me in real life? What if I'm deaf? I see you guys giving some love to the colorblind, so I hope to see some coming to those who cannot hear.
