I'm looking for a list of Xbox platform exclusive items. I have seen some for the PS, like the Hawkmoon and Montecarlo, as well as some armors (which I think I've never seen) called the Vanir, Argus, and Manifold. I have read that those items are due out on Xbox eventually, after the game's a year old and those items are so outdated and have been trumped by common DLC vanguard armors and weapons (kinda like what happened when the Dark Below came out). I have read that the PS version even comes with two more PVP maps.
I'm an Xboxer mostly because of Halo, and that decision has been reinforced for years of titles, and later vindicated by Sony's regrettable propensity for cyberattack. So, I ask, what is there to make the Xbox players believe that Bungie isn't resting in Sony's back pocket? There must be some monetary kickbacks for offering PS users some really nice gear and offering the Xboxers (and faithful Halo followers-thank you Bungie)...nothing. I understand that creating a worthwhile game is rewarding, but you still need to eat, and if Sony paid you to neglect the users of a competitive platform, then you turn your back and take the money, right? But what will you have for the other half of your customer base after you've spent the money and still need to eat?
Could there be a deeper schism between Xbox and Bungie? Something which would cause the makers of this fine game (and many before it) to encourage its followers to forsake a trusted game console? If that's the case, just go public about it and let your faithful players decide to support you in their own way. If there's nothing political or monetary going on, then what's the holdup?
Thus I return to the main topic: What platform exclusives can I expect for the Xbox players?

I'm more intrigued by the MS/Bungie rift rumors than the lack of exclusives. Although to be fair, I have no money in the deal (both the game and the DLC were bought by my girlfriend for our XBONE, and then when she stopped playing, I picked it up). I also wonder how much of a difference in net revenue having platform-exclusive items truly makes (and further, what kind of effect suppressing a competing platform's potential exclusives actually provides, in terms of real dollars). Is it a big enough deal for Sony to actually care enough to suppress Xbox platform exclusives? I don't doubt it couldn't (or wasn't) done, I'm more curious that it's actually something they'd care enough to do... Just my $0.02 :3

I still don't know why I paid for the DLC half the time Getting less content for the same money... We are the assholes in this situation by giving them money to begin with, won't be making that mistake in the future of this continues

Edited by Level 2 on Easy: 3/2/2015 10:03:15 AMBungie has to justify horrid PS network by giving them free stuff. That's fine. I enjoy my superior connection and not getting hacked every day

There's none.

Bungie didn't have anything to do with the exclusivity deal. That would be Activision, the publisher.

It's like cod Microsoft payed money for early dlc well playstation did that for destiny why it's a year idk that seems kinda long IMO.

Exotics will be able to reach current max level with DLC's as they release so exclusive exotics will be worth getting your hands on if you want to enjoy them for a year b4 the sequel release. Strikes will be added to the current highest vanguard playlist (though I almost wish they wouldn't) and may possible begin to cycle through as weeklies and PvP maps will be just that, in rotation when playing crucible. It will all feel like fresh new content to us on xbox and if you plan on getting the expansion that will most likely release in sept than it will probably feel like the game has doubled in size (at that point in time we are talking 3 strikes, I believe 3 PvP maps, & 4 exotic weapons coupled with the supposedly large expansion that will give us a rumored 12 story missions 4 strikes, 1 raid, I think it was 2 new types of weapons, a new playable area, and 7(?) PvP maps).

No xbox exclusives. Sony paid more then MS to have exclusivity. I've heard rumours that say some animosity between Bungie and MS played a part in it to. Which might be possible because of the full year of exclusivity (which is ridiculous imo). So either Sony payed a tonne of extra money for the full year or bungie agreed to it for some reason.

I like my hawkmoon

Edited by BadgermanPrime: 3/2/2015 8:13:46 AMThe short answer is there will be no xbox exclusive unless Microsoft choose to pay for them (assuming Bungie even offered further exclusives). That being said I fully expect Sony would jump to buy whatever exclusive content comes on offer just like they did first time round. Exclusivity is a dumb practice and should just be done away with altohether
