Another addition to my "shrine".

Well, "shrine" is the word I use to describe it, but I don't feel that's quite accurate since it implies worship...allow me to explain. Death is something that holds a significant position in my life because of how much it intertwines with it. That being said, I have a great respect for the spiritual aspect of death as well as the role it plays in all temporary life. So, a while ago I started putting this together. Once I own my own home I want to have a more separate space for this, but for now I do what I can. Anyway, I got an hourglass to add to it. The entirety of it are the skull, the two dead roses, the candles and their holders, the raven statues, and the hourglass. Everything is placed in a way to properly represent something. It begins at the front with the hourglass, which represents the time it takes for a life to pass. The ravens, being carrion birds that typically feed off of dead flesh, watch and wait as the hourglass empties. The two dead roses bridge the gap between the hourglass and the skull, which represents the finality of death. And on either side of the skull sit the two candles, which when lit, represent a faint light to guide the spirit beyond death. Everything works out, I just wonder if it looks too cluttered for so small a space that I currently have to keep it in. What do you guys think? And if you actually took the time to read the two prior paragraphs, I thank you for your time and consideration. :)
