All I Get is Helmets From Crota - I have got 12 - HELP!
It was funny at first. Oh haha look another helmet but the novelty of it wore off fast and now it is making me angry. It takes hours of my time to go through the Crota raid on hard and what do I get for my efforts? The same helmet over and over again. To make matters worse the one that regens energy from orbs has never dropped. I posted video of me getting my 8th helmet. Since then nothing but helmets as well.. 12 HELMETS!! Please fix whatever is wrong with my character to actually randomize my drops because the odds of me getting 12 helmets randomly is statistically impossible. HELMETS!!!!!

I feel your pain. I've beat crota on hard 3 times a week every week since hard mode released. I have received a helmet for beating crota every single time while I watch everyone else receive woc, fang or crux. As my clan leader I have to help everyone get through but I have given up on it. I only play to help my clan now. I have absolutely zero things to upgrade or do week after week now.

The neckbeard is strong with this one I see, but there needs to be a different way to earn gear or whatever. I can think of 20 better ideas in an hour than anything that relies on rng

I get Word or Fang every time, but can't get normal mode weapons to save my life. Got Light of the Abyss December 13th. Got Thunderlord in mid January. That's it. Shards and energies beating Crota normal every other time. RNG is pathetic.

1 ReplyI got you one better, i have 18 days played or something have run all raids on all difficulties, done all nightfalls, when not in crucible I'm doing strike upon strike sometimes 10-15 in a row. I have all exotics at 331 maxed, the necrocasim, the Vex, and 3 full sets of maxed 32 gear, i even have a good deal of exotic gear for my 3 warlocks in triplet maxed out for each char. But for the life of me i cant get the suros or red death, (yes I know they sold it, I was unable to purchase the second time and didn't know about xur the first couple weeks) the funniest part of this craptastic RNG system is that it can see in your soul, find your hearts desire, then it gives it to all those around you, and then the second that evil RNG phuck finally gives in and gives it to you... Poof you get nothing but those repeatedly. seriously?!? Wtf, what kind if sick, twisted, sadist, phuck-stick designs this shit. I feel for you fellow RNG pariah, i also gets a ton and just got health replenish so hang in there make sure and trash the ones that clash with play style and check levels, i have had to break down a few fully maxed out raid pieces to fine tune my setup. Good luck on your quest and F U in the A, RNG!!!!!

A) You need a better team if it's taking hours to do a full Crota Run on hard. Shouldn't take more than an hour with a decent team, using no exploits. B) it's not happening to everybody else, so go buy a lottery ticket because you've just randomly beaten the odds. The odds of winning tonight's Powerball are 175 million to one, but the chances are that somebody is going to win, and you're just the Destiny powerball winner so to speak. I have 25 or 26 total Crota kills. 10 of those are on my Warlock, with 7 of them being normal and 3 being hard. You have a chance of getting a helmet on normal, and again on hard, so those 3 hards really count as two chances to get a helmet. Out of 13 chances my Warlock still hasn't gotten a helmet. My Titan however got his first helmet on his second Crota normal kill, and my hunter finally got his first and only helmet last week, again on normal. The random percentages are working (unfortunately), which is why some of us have with many Crota kills have yet to get a helmet, and others have had multiples. In your case, like I said, go buy a lottery ticket, now.

It's not exactly a fairb RNG system as Bungie is claiming. That's why what you get first you will typically get repeatedly with a very small chance of something new or different.

2 RepliesThat's why I say that this isn't all RNG. I think each player has a random value at their chance of getting specific loot. For instance I've beaten atheon on hard 25 times but I don't have a vex. However I've gotten at least two raid helmets every time I kill atheon or the last ten kills...

1 ReplyIt's extra shards. Others can get your 9 shards but u get 9 plus the helmet shards. Set yourself up early for HoW gear lol. And no weapons :p
