Connecton Issues! Need help with Comcast Technicolor modem

Just got a new modem+router called the technicolor from comcast. Tried so many things to change it to help but i can't stay online longer than 20 mins. I get a few different zoo codes daily. read all instructions bungie has given me and completed all neccessary steps but to no avail. Tried port forwarding 3074 along with open ports and stil no use. NAT is open and on low security.tried enabling DMZ completely. From what i have basically read is that bungie and comcast's technicolor modem don't allow for gaming with destiny unless buying a new router and connecting through there. If so can someone please confirm this or help me find a way to be able to play destiny. And i have followed every step bungie provided on their "help" page so please don't post that awful link in the comments.

  • It's definitely the technicolor that's the issue. Don't know why it's got issues, but I haven't heard of a fix for it. You're probably out of luck unless you can get a different one.

  • It is very much the Technicolor. I have it, friend of mine had i, a friend's mutual had it. All of us would be kicked on a regular basis, by error code or straight disconnect from live. I switched mine to Bridge mode (requires spare router), have had less issues since. Friend of mine switched hers out, less issues since. The friend's friend switched theirs out and have been doing well since. There were a lot of threads back around Oct as that's when most of us started having issues. Hell, just type Destiny in the comcast forums and you'd find a few on it.

    • I can't give you any recommendations other than to repost this same thread tomorrow when it is more active. This will probably increase the chances of it being seen by an employee.
