Happy Birthday

Dear Bungie (or anyone else with help), Today is my birthday, or at least at the time that I started typing this, (11:36pm) it is. I've been looking forward to a specific Xbox 360 game called Destiny. First thing I did when I had free time was rip off the plastic put in the game and start downloading... at approximately 5:00pm, which I thought would leave plenty of time to fit in at least the first mission, or character creation or maybe just the downloading of the game. I was in for a surprise. First few downloads were the ~5 GB of transferring game data then some update and the compatibility pack 2 download (I don't know why it started with the 2nd pack but it did). The compatibility pack took some time, a few freezes here and there, but nothing too bad. I then was greeted by a second screen almost identical to the first except this time it was compatibility pack 1. This time the downloads went noticeably faster, raising my hopes... Then came the updates... This is what I'm here for; the Oyster error. It all started with a 1.28 KB update, I actually laughed at the update size, wondering how fast I would download it. The flat 0.0/1.28kb wiped the smile off my face. I restarted Destiny thinking it was just a little glitch, I saw the same update as before, out of 1.28 kb, but this time it actually loaded... up to 0.18/1.28kb, then rose to 0.36/1.28kb. I was disappointed with the download speed but at least it was working. However, once it had reached 0.36kb it decided to switch the update size? It changed from 0.36/1.28kb to 226/930kb or something like that, which then rose to 398.51/930kb and froze for a little bit, then eventually switched to another update size: 31.47/55.07mb (around 60%) and this was its final shift because after 10-20 minutes of loading 1-2 MB (a.k.a frozen) it would gift me the Oyster error report. I ignored this Oyster error report for the first few times, but after restarting destiny, checking google, restarting my xbox, restarting my computer (idk I was bored), I decided to take a look at the help link. I found it to be somewhat lacking in suggestions: (1) Power cycle your router - Yeeeaaah, my internet is working pretty well, I'd say, and all the other updates downloaded perfectly, so I skipped it. (2) Secure a wired connection when downloading updates - Haha This would be a good idea if I had a cable long enough to do so. (3) Delete and reinstall Destiny to your console (because of possible changes to the download) - Ok so technically I didn't actually try this one but probably for good reason: I just got the game, therefore any downloads are all up to date. Also, Deleting and reinstalling a game I literally just installed (or attempted to) doesn't seem logical to me. It may just be me but I find it weird that a game, especially the hard copy version, would not be able to download because of an update? Anyways, I spent 5+ hrs attempting download destiny today... I didn't succeed and feel like I won't make much progress tomorrow. But at least I didn't waste all of that time; I was able to completely download Far Cry 4 in the time it took to download just the compatibility pack 2 of Destiny. I would appreciate a reasonable solution to the Oyster error, keeping in mind the only download that hasn't been completed is that update (or multiple, I don't know because they switched sizes), I cannot use a wired connection, and that I got the game today (1/27/15). The problem may be my internet, my Xbox... my cat (ignore that link )... I don't know, I'm open to suggestions. I really want to at least try this game even if this help forum thingy is filled with people reporting errors throughout the rest of the game. Sincerely, me
