The Executor - Prologue "I'm tired of this war, Sweetheart." The weary guardian sat with his back against a crashed Skiff. Flames from a broken shank licked at his boot. He stomped them out. "I know, hon, but we're making progress. One day, the people of earth will have peace, the Traveler will be restored, and the darkness crushed under your -blam!-ing heel. Until then, we've just got to do what we do best." The little machine hovered in front of his visor, it's structure spinning and expanding to the cadence of its speech. "I suppose your right." He stood, rolled his stiff shoulders, and strode casually away from the smoking wreckage. His boots passed over dreg carcasses, their ether still leaking out of bullet holes. He came to a halt by a Warlock; who was hunched down over an ancient piece of machinery, half-buried in the dirt. "Well done, partner. Let's wrap this up and report back to the chancellor. Let him know that the assets have been secured." The warlock addressed him without looking. She was fiddling with her ghost, most likely relaying a message to their superiors. Her white armor shone bright under her red robes. Three, diagonal stripes were embroidered into the cloth, the symbol of New Monarchy. The Titan wore a mark with a matching pattern on his hip. Above it the white Executor's mark was painted on his shoulder pauldron. "Whatever. The sooner we get off this rock, the better." He turned to his floating companion,"Sweetheart, be a doll and bring the ship around, would you?" "Okay, but the next time you call me doll, I'll transmat you outside your ship in the middle of hyperspace. Mmk?" The ghost threatened, half-closing the optical receptor that served as her eye. He shuddered, as he was disassembled and transported to orbit, molecule by molecule. "Yes ma'am.
