I was leveling up my factions and thinking, why don't we have faction wars!? Two types: pvp and pve. In pvp you must be rank 3 with your faction, and have a class item and emblem equipped to enter the playlist. You could have bonuses for using faction specific weapons and armor, equipping faction specific shaders and having higher faction rank to things like damage reduction, weapon damage and xp/rep bonus. Nothing too dramatic but enough to get an edge. You would be teamed up only with other members of your faction and fight only against teams of another faction for supremacy. I think this would be a fun thing to rotate with Iron Banner. In pve you could complete patrols for your faction (add a graphic to show which faction is offering which patrol), faction bointies (obtained from their respective reps, and a faction daily mission/daily strike. You would be required to be level 3+ with a faction to participate, similar bonuses from above would apply. This could be held in conjunction with the pvp playlist and/or rotate with Queen's Wrath type pve activities. Having a leaderboard to track the dominant faction for pvp and pve on Bnet would be amazing. I know something like this would take a lot of development but lets let Bungie know we want it.
