I for one would like to see some diversity in the weapon types in Destiny. Here's some ideas I have! [u]Primary Weapon:[/u] Compound Bows, held in the left hand, which frees up your right hand for grenades/melee. They would only have 1 arrow before you would have to reload, so each arrow should do a lot of damage (Headshot should be 1 shot kill in crucible, body shot would only take down shields) Example of a legendary Bow's perks: [b]Quickdraw[/b] (precision kills increase reload speed for a short time) and [b]Armor Piercing Arrows[/b] (bows may also include choice of scope) [u]Special Weapon:[/u] Submachine Guns would offer a quick option for a last resort when your health is low and enemies are near. A fast rate of fire and high DPS would be a good alternative for a Shotgun at close quarters. Weapon Subclasses could trade off range/stability for rate of fire/damage. Example of a legendary SMG's perks: [b]Single Point Sling[/b] (switch weapons faster, great for high intensity situations in the Crucible) and [b]Hip Fire[/b] (increased hip fire accuracy) [u]Heavy Weapon:[/u] Grenade Launchers would offer some diversity to the Heavy Weapon slot. GL's would be a lot like rocket launchers, with one or two (perhaps 3) grenades in a mag. Here's my idea for an Exotic GL: [b]The Thumper[/b] has the option to choose whether your grenades will explode on contact while ADS or to bounce once off of the ground or a wall while hip firing, and also has a unique perk that causes a flash bang effect with each grenade (a one-grenade magazine would keep this weapon from being OP in crucible) What are your thoughts?
