Future Potential Professions and more!

This is my first post on the Bungie forums, so allow me to break the ice by saying you're welcome to speak your mind, I am genuinely interested in you'r opinions that's what forums are for. In personal experience across a wide variety of games, as I'm sure many of you have your own views on this too. Firstly I'd like to apologise in case this or anything similar has been posted before, but even if it has it's something I've missed and I'm interested in current views. :D Moving on... In my time playing Destiny since October I have been Hooked on this game, the same way I was hooked to so many games and still am. What I realise with destiny is that they have actually managed to make something new out of a first person shooter, actually getting people to work as a unified team in an FPS in a PvE environment is a Brilliant concept and thanks to the requirement for communication in certain instances it has made not only the game's own community but also the community of the platforms sky rocket past that of many other MMO Style games. The thing is at this point I believe Bungie have given us enough of the basics, after all we all know how to aim for the head, pull the trigger, jump in a multitude of different ways and my personal favourite as a titan how to repeatedly punch aliens and other titans. The key to success I've realised with most MMO's is a case of Low Effort=High Reward -> High Effort=Epic Rewards etc. Because of destiny's random loot system and concentration on previous content the cycle seems to work a little bit differently and thus far apart from the introduction for the increased difficulty mode for Crota's end with the added primary weapons is more like Low effort=Possibility of high reward -> High effort=Possibility of same reward. I imagine I'm in the same boat as at least some of you other Guardians in the hopes that some of these activities will be added in further DLC's in order to increase both PvE and PvE potential as well as using some of the founding attributes to an MMO providing personalization but also keeping it's own Originality. 1. Professions The Reason this is at the top of my list is because in may MMO's it has opened doors and worked wonders and this sort of system incorporate in to Destiny could solve almost every issue as far as character originality some players feel a need for. (Including myself) Not to mention the fact that in Destiny because of it's originality with the way things work, you wouldn't have to stray far from the tower in order to obtain the skills of your professions, And your class and race could even provide different skills within the profession. Obviously there are a lot of ways each profession could work but I'll keep the list relatively short. Weapon-smith: Weather they are able to change certain upgrades on items, dependant on their progression through the profession or using Weapon Parts and a combination of other materials to create attachments for weapons such as Silencers, Scopes and Extended barrels, even if the only difference this provides is a separation between stats on weapons Class Specific: Titan: Specialist weapon attachments (e.g. Bayonets for increased me-lee speed/damage or Heavy box mags/ammo holsters) Warlock: Ability to imbue weapon with Arc, Solar, Void damage/effect when fired or being able to change what is already on an elemental weapon. Hunter: Specialist Scopes and Barrel length upgrades for increased range, I mean c'mon how many hunters wouldn't want to be able to run around with a pocket sniper hand cannon. Engineers/Mechanics: Main focus here is Vahicles, adding a level of customisation to Land Vehicles such as Sparrows and Pikes, maybe even weapons for certain area's to paint jobs and decals for our ships, even if they are only going to be used as the loading screen until further notice it's something we all have too look at for a decent amount of time out of our game time. Ship Upgrades: Cargo Hold - Hold a set amount of materials within the ship Weapons Cache - Instead of having to travel to the tower having the ability to keep a certain amount of equipment (Weapons, Armour and Ammunition) on the ship that can be acquired in orbit. Bigger Ships: This could be the answer to Destiny's version of the personal area where you're able to perform multiple activities, maybe carrying out professions, accessing grimoire cards and other information in game even if this is just to provide a change of scenery from the tower with direct access to loading screens. Graphic Reconstruction: (Transmogs + Shaders) Enabling guardians to edit shaders for gear and weapons for that added aspect of personality, I'm sure this has been mentioned multiple times and in order to expand on this more being able to create your own emblems not oly as a name marker but also allowing you to adorn your gear with a symbol of you'r choice/design. 2. Class Personalization Obviously as you can tell what I'd love to see is more of an MMO out of Destiny, during the time of pre-release what made me want to play destiny the most was that it was more than just a shooter. Adding personalization to classes not so much to the extent of specific roles to subclasses but allowing a certain amount of utility. The classes already work really well but here's just a couple of ideas that could be expanded, providing more personality and a further basis to teamwork, obviously going in to too much detail would make this thread last forever, besides I need to leave something up for discussion ;) Hunters: Blade Dancers have their stealth mode, this provides excellent utility for reviving team mates and slipping past the enemy to a point of advantage, further expansions could adapt this for instance it two different ways. Field Medic: When in stealth mode you are able to revive team mates 25-50% faster. giving that class the inkling of that utility if they choose to use that ability. Dead Shot: When in stealth mode if the first aimed shot does not impact a target, the user remains in stealth mode for one more shot otherwise increased damage when firing the first shot when in stealth mode. Gunslinger could be a standard Damage dealing class otherwise could be used to provide utility such as self healing for each kill whilst active. Warlocks: As far as I was aware the sunsinger was destined to be the healing class of destiny, instead they seem to have more survivability than Titans who some assumed would be the main sort of tank role in the game. That said it doesn't seem such a bad idea, a sunsinger having the ability to use their melee ability twice in a row, once to an enemy target and the second time aimed at a friendly target or used personally, dependant on a simple choice of class perk, this could provide a whole new dimension to teamwork throughout the game, some people like being the healer. As with gunslinger Void walker could be the main damage dealing class of the warlocks. Titans: I'm sure a lot of us used the utility of the Titan weapons of light, especially in the final encounter of The VoG, it was just faster, why wouldn't you? Of course unless you have a fireteam of Gjallahorns ;) but as I mentioned earlier the Titan during pre-release was often thought to be more of a tank role in destiny. Defender: A defenders main focus is it's shield and in some circumstances it can prove counter productive but some simple amendments from perks could fix this if the player wanted something different. Porous Shield Wall*: A void wall as opposed to a spherical shield allowing guardian weapons and grenades through one way. Plain and simple and this could be expanded again allowing friendly units who passed through a boost of speed or the opposite for enemy units *This was seen in another forum post by a friend. Mobile Defence: The Void shield now generates from the titans location, instead of being dropped on the floor, friendly/enemy targets are effected by the chosen effect within the skill tree. Leaving Striker as the main damage dealer of the titans, similar to the relic sheild. These are just a couple of ideas that on their own could provide the level of diversity we've all been looking for and I bet you all have ideas of your own too. - Trading - Auction House - Specific Boss Loot All Desirable ^^ I could tell how more diversity within' classes would make the game potentially more fun, I could tell you of all the possibilities that would make destiny more than just a shooter as we all hoped it would be, there are many things that could be done with this game in order to make it the game we all want to play, but lately... we've seen no change, and every week we look up with hopes that one day we'll look at a weekly update and see something new incorporated, instead the reruns of PvP events are coming back and all we think abut is we'll get that item we wanted this time. I'll finish this post by saying it took a lot of Patience and time to write this and I spent some time murmuring over what I could put in this out of all the ideas I have. To tell you the truth all of these suggestions are small in comparison to the unfriendly giant of a game Bungie have put together, In no way am I criticising the game, as I said I'm hooked but the fact they seem to be holding themselves back, from all of the potential is just a bit of a thorn in my side. If you've read this far, I'd like to say thanks, and I appreciate any feedback. See you starside Guardians.
