Please Introduce Natural Gravity

Yes, this makes complete sense and should be added

No, I'm afraid I won't be able to cope.

Poll Question: Would you be able to see yourself kicking ass with this change? I understand, a lot people are not interested in realistic environments, and quite a few of you are currently begging for it. I would like to note that the gravity of each planet in theory can be altered by the Traveler, which has been the excuse this whole time as to why the gravity doesn't change based on the planet you are on. How ever, the Traveler is pretty much catatonic, no longer the fancy "Space Orb" you have to go look up on Bungie.net to read up on, but the largest Cantaloupe ever grown hasn't actually done anything beyond being the paper clip, this is coming from the cards and in game clips. So, to put it simply the traveler is not changing the gravity and no power is currently being fed into the process of altering gravity due to ever planet being taken over by aliens and robots, even if there was a device to do so, time would render them in inoperative, or such a high value target they wouldn't stay away from it, or give up a super weapon without a fight. SO now that we have established there is no feasible way for the gravity to be fixed into an earth like state, the only excuse to not fixing the gravity is laziness and pure incompetence, and some players may defend either one or both of these excuses purely to defend their purchase or prevent them from realizing how broken this game is, I firmly believe that bungie is just lazy, as the have the talent and skill, but Activision is incompetent and eager for Call of Duty to sell, so if the feature was there originally, they would remove it to boost sales for their prize money maker. The actual gravity of each planet, moon, or natural stellar object within destiny, aside from Earth, the Reef, and Keller objects is listed here: - Mercury = 37.8% - Venus = 90.7% - Moon = 16.6% - Mars = 62% - Europa(Jupiter's moon) = 13.5% - Titan(Saturn's moon) = 13.8% - Pluto = 5.9% there are likely other locations listed, including space stations and battle fleets, but these are area's that have been mentioned or have grimoire cards of their own. I understand quite a few of unexperienced players may find difficulty within these environments, but the challenge presented introduces new ways to experience destiny that just may grow on you. The lack of of ambient sound, the muffled sounds, and awkward points of each engagement present the opportunity to learn of other worlds and how one might overcome the diversity of each environments; you can see what its like to be on the Moon or on Mars for real. There is no shame in admitting to fear or inexperience, but move bravely; new frontiers to explore and adventure to be had, seek them out boldly and go farther then any other has gone before. - If you don't like your poll choices you can always chose to abstain.....which means go to another post.....the whole point of the poll is to ask yourself if you can handle the challenge of diverse environments or not.....there is no 3rd choice because its a yes or no question.... - If you felt insulted by the Poll, then I should point out that it is optional and there is no shame in selecting NO, it just says you don't feel comfortable of undertaking the challenge or you would get annoyed by its introduction in general. Many of us with experience can help guide you in time if you feel your not skilled enough, or you may develop skills that surpass our own, only time will tell, just keep your chin up and let the universe surprise you. - An option to turn on or off the "Natural Gravity" would be an exceptional alternative for players, NPC's, and sounds, so people can play the way they want, how ever the objects in the back ground should be made to move in the proper gravity. - This is not a post for debating Pluto being defined as a Kelper Object, Planet, Dwarf Planet, Ort cloud Object, Rogue Planet, or Rogue Moon.... so stay on topic please. - Concerns on in game technical issues about the jumps being messed up or leathal here are things that can be done to correct; by raising the roof(Maximum height of the map), adding baby bumpers to the sides(forces you to bounce off), add a resistors(area's that change the physics if you pass though them like death barriers but no death) to force regular gravity when you get too high, and based on your height to the ceiling the jump would slant itself at an angle to force you in the direct of travel rather then up when you get too much air. - Try to Keep it clean, if you get out of hand or too far into the 4chan part of the internet I will delete or at least hide it so I don't have to see your post, I am not having another fight because someone wants to be rude; be nice people seriously. - If you use "Space Magic", "Jazz Hands", or any other unsupported statements to excuse the lack of pride in the development of Destiny, you are sad strange little men; magic and science have rules in every game and mythology, so the Statement, "it works because I say so", is the poorest form of excuses. This is not to say magic in space isn't feasible, but you can just not show your work, compare it to another franchise if you must, but science and magic follow similar paths. Otherwise we wouldn't be able to program it into the games we have come to love. - no card of cutscene says anything about the Traveler effecting gravity itself, stop trying to excuse laziness and incompetence... - Read the Golden Age card if you want proof the Traveler didn''t build anything aside from the Ghosts.....says right there.... • Consistent gravity across all planets was most definitely a gameplay design choice. In case you haven't caught on by now, destiny is a very, very simple game. It's designed to be accessible and welcoming to inexperienced players, and if gravity changed whenever you went to a new planet, the n00bs wouldnt be able to figure out how to play. I'm not saying that I like how much they dumbed down this universe but it's the universe we have and it was designed a certain way, meaning that changing something like gravity would force whole maps to be redesigned to preserve gameplay that could make any sense. TL;DR It would be cool but it's now going to happen and I'm also okay with that.
