Ok, everyone put on your tin foil hats. Just a theory. I was trying to fathom the game's story, and of course I knew we where missing a huge piece to the puzzle. Then, sitting in the tower, I noticed someone playing with the purple ball. [u]Thats when it hit me.[/u] I started doing research on the purple ball. I cross referenced key words and phrases--destiny, story, ball, purple, cryptarch is a bastard, etc.. Finally I found this: [url]http://www.thesaurus.com/browse/destiny?s=t[/url] One of the synonyms of "destiny" is [b][i]way the ball bounces[/i][/b]. That leads me to believe that the purple ball is the key to everything. Think about it. The cryptarch can't decode it, because it is spherical-so its not an engram. Plus we woluldn't want it degraded into a blue ball. The Traveler is also spherical, and so are servitors. Maybe its a baby Servitor-god, waiting for the right moment to take its true from and destroy us all in the tower. And no matter how many times you kick the damn thing off the edge it always comes back. It cannot be killed. We have to put an end to this monster before it is too late. I think if we bounce the ball a certain way, we can unlock our "destiny" and perhaps wake the Traveler from its slumber. Let's set up some times to do some experimenting.
