Had a Strike afternoon today, played withe some great people and the last one was spoilt by someone who decided to hide and sit down the whole time. We were halfway through before I realised, I usually go to orbit, but as it was the last one of the day I finished it. They got the best haul at the end. Jammy twat.
EDIT: had no idea you could report people - how is this done. I can't remember their gamertag now, but would be a nice to know.
-
Strike starts •hails sparrow •watches guardians •runs afk'rs off ledge •reports them (only if I have time) •returns to orbit I like the guys idea of leaving so I'm out of sight first Thanks
-
Rush to the darkness zone... quickly shoot a rocket at the wall... checkpoint restarts and retard idiling or farming the patrol area get kicked to orbit.
-
I don't waste energy worrying about it and just play the game.
-
I understand you completely. But look at it from my perspective. I enter a roc strike with 2 randoms, they run all the way past everything, I kill everything I see while moving through the mission, they wipe to bring me to them at the no respawn, sent me hate mail saying I was afk, at the end of the strike I have over 250 kills to their 30-40 kills, one of them gets praxis of fire, I get a rare gun, rare class item and a mote of light. Smh.
-
I speed run to the restricted spawn area and die. That kills the strike without dying bounty and drags them to where you can see them. If that doesn't work, kill them over and over again
-
How to report - bring up menu - left bumper to show your fireteam/roster. Click the persons name and report player.
-
If you're in a strike with a friend keep killing yourself until he leaves... Did that yesterday..:)
-
Wait till you get to darkness zone and die, it'll respawn him by you.
-
Kill them.
-
I think you can report them but seriously if you're doing a ROC strike and you have two active players then you should be fine. The problem is it seems the worse the player the better the reward
-
I keep a watch at the beginning and just leave after going out of sight of their character in the hope they do not notice.
-
Just die in a darkness zone or if you start on winters run or phogoths push then off the edge
-
i just kill myself so they spawn next to me…then they die over and over while they are AFK till they get kicked
-
If I have time I just find them and sit beside them and go take a piss or make a sandwich. Otherwise I orbit.
-
go to orbit. I don't care. I get no rewards in strikes anyways. I'll leave them to do the fight. occasionally if i can i will punch some thralls or vandals or something and then try to lead them back to where the guys are hiding. Then the thralls mob them. That's funny when it works.

Edited by necromia: 1/4/2015 9:13:50 PMEither A. You also afk. Go eat do something nice. These kids stay in hoping you finish the strike for them. If you stay afk you'll waste there time until they get kicked to orbit. If they happen to have a rubber band attatched to there thumbsticks and you notice this as your on your last strike. Sacrifice yourself for your fellow gaurdians and do the same. B. Leave and report them even though i doubt it does anything. Dont forget to sparrow kill them several times.
-
report them and if it is a day with the complete a strike without dying bounty I'll sometimes push them into enemy fire
-
I love killing so much, I let them stay and enjoy the ride (while reporting them). But make no mistake, if they are still there on next map, I'll leave.
-
I usually dont give a shit, finish the strike, then go to orbit to get a new group.
-
I can under stand not wanting to die for bounties. but I just stay back and snipe with my icebreaker
-
I leave them be. If they have the patience for me to crawl through without dying, great. Had one afk me on unDying Mind. Pulled out icebreaker, took cover under the steps, and started slowly whittling those precursors down. They left after 30 minutes.
-
I convince the other guy to off himself in a wipe zone forces them up to you or they quit.
-
Edited by Are You Okay: 1/4/2015 9:11:50 PMI report and leave it they don't move in about 30 seconds. Can't stand freeloaders. I'll also try to push them to die with my sparrow in case they are working on a no death bounty.
-
Edited by ZEN: 1/4/2015 9:05:00 PMIgnore them. I wish I could play strikes solo, wont have to worry about people blitzing ahead and dying in darkness zones. Also, more kills for me and my unleveled weapons.
-
If I start a strike I always make sure all players active or I go back to orbit I'm not putting up with free loaders
-
Report them. Kill them. Then move on or go back to orbit. Depends how I'm feeling at the time.
