LOOT seems broken and it's frustrating.
Hello Bungie,
First of all I haven't got a chance to thank you for the amazing game that Destiny is, I have been playing a lot since it came out and it's actually my favorite game.
My name is David I have been playing since day 1 and I'm part of Portugal Guardians the biggest and most active Portuguese clan we have recently reached 100 members, and I have some serious feedback that I hope it can be taken under your consideration.
In my opinion both raids loot are broken, they don't work properly and they don't feel fun or random at all, they are just frustrating, please stay with me...
Yesterday I went to RAID on VOG Hard, 6 members of Portugal Guardians tackled Templar, Gatekeeper and Atheons. Obvious everyone was looking for stuff like Fatebringer, Icebreaker, Gjallarhorn.
At the Templar everyone received Shards except for one of our members ( nave2039 ) who received in the same loot 2 Fatebringers and you say "Lucky!" but it didn't felt Lucky at all, in fact our member Máriorip1977 received the exact same loot 1 week ago and you say "Coincidence!" but from what we have heard they are not the only ones, this is a regular "loot setup" it not only looks "Buggy" it is useless even for the player who wins it.
Another loot setup I have identified which repeats over and over again it's the Vex on the Atheon, most of the time (not to say every Vex I've seen looted in the last weeks) the loot is: Vex + 4 items (raid spaceship (always), ascended shards (always), vision of confluence or ascended shards). On Crota's end Raid my new "favorite" loot setup is Icebreaker+Black Hammer+Shards, we have had a few of this one in our clan and I could go on and tell you many different "setups/patterns" we have identified.
Now what I want to say is that the loot system doesn't feel organic, it doesn't feel random, it doesn't feel fair, it just feels frustrating and it feels obvious, the loot tables seem short.
And to finalize my loot system feedback, I don't think going through a RAID in Hard Mode and getting only Shards is rewarding having in mind the effort it take to complete it, we spend 2 to 3 hours RAIDING and getting Shards on every single chest and every single Boss loot is just not inspiring.
In the 15 times I've completed and helped other completing Crota and VOG (Normal and Hard) I have watched many players received shard for the all ride and it happened to myself most of the times and it feels so but so frustrating for player who have only one Guardian, like myself that can only do the RAIDS once a week.
I do hope you have my feedback under consideration I'm really enjoying the game and I hope I can help out, hope to hear from you guys.

Salut, Je tiens à donner mon avis sur le système de loot qui est à mon goût... misérable... J'ai compléter 20 fois le caveau de verre en difficile et je n'ai toujours pas loot l'exégèse vex... Par contre j'ai vu beaucoup de gardiens pour qui c'était le premier ou deuxième raid l'obtenir. C'est très injuste. En gros une personne qui joue 30 heures, à les mêmes chances de loot qu'une personne qui est à 500 heures de jeu ! J'ai aider de nouveaux gardiens à monter les niveaux et à gérer les raids, et quand je les vois loot en raid l'exégèse vex lors de leurs premiers raid alors que je ne l'ai pas encore je suis content pour eux mais dégoûté de votre système. Je trouve qu'il n'y a aucune reconnaissance envers les personnes qui sont des fidèles de ce jeu, c'est dommage... Le jour où bungie perdra ses vrais fidèles, peut être qu'ils comprendront... En tout cas moi j'en ai marre de perdre mon temps et de m'énerver, et clairement je ne vais pas tarder à délaisser ce jeu qui est pourtant un excellent jeu... Mais le système de loot gâche tout...

This Loot system is getting worst no exotics always getting the same items over and over is so sad we can only do 1 time for each caracter and we get items we have or other guys win 2 same items and the other dont get any item only shards and energys

1 ReplyI've noticed since the DLC this checkpoint has been giving out duplicates to one player every time. I've seen someone get 2 praetorian foils on 2 separate occasions, someone get 2 praediths revenges, someone get 2 found verdicts. And now 2 fatebringers. I've also seen someone get 2 hunter helms from beating atheon. Broken is probably the correct word.

Back to back drops on vog: vex/helmet/ship/shards. Heartbreaking *eyeroll* Did it MANY times before and got garbage. I deserve this! XD

1 ReplyHello all, Thank you all for your comments, I've been trying to reply to every single answer but it's difficult to keep up because at this moment there are loads of replies, so please I hope you understand. I hope Bungie can give some feedback or get this topic under their consideration for future improvements. Once again, let me say, I'm ok with Randomness, I'm ok with Odds, I'm ok with very hard to get exotic weapons, I'm not looking for an easier game, all my feedback and original post just want to see this improved and the loot more fluid...because if that happens and the looting pattern disappears I'm sure the loot will look fair and less frustrating...because hey I'm ok with loosing, no problem, but I need to feel I'm playing a fair battle. I have referred many different patterns and the people in the comment box have shown many different others that prove my point. - 3 weeks in a row exact same loot at Atheon - 4 found verdicts on the same RAID - 2 fatebringers on same loot on many different persons - 5 Crotas the same 4 Lmg - 7 Icebreakers - 4 Vex - and many others... And those patterns do not show on a Random system, the odds of have the same loot on the same boss for 3 weeks in a row, it's not an odd, it's not luck or bad luck, it's a bug ;) Again, thank you all for commenting. That is one messed up screenshot. The loot system is very broken an they need to fix it or add well managed trading to offset it. That's all that can be said.

4 Repliesi have finished the VoG over 135 times (bungies own stats prove this) and no Vex gun, i will admit that not every raid i have done was a loot run,a lot was runing people through the VoG, i have lost count of the amount of vex's that have been receved by people doing the raid with my clan (the hard raid) , so bungie where is my vex ?

Lastly, a vex coupled with like 3 other items? I'm not sure how you're going to make it through the winter. Listen dude. Poor examples for a post saying the loot system is broken. Sure, maybe these bundles are excessive but they're awesome bundles. Really, you want the loot system to be random but also give you what you want. That's not random.

Bump because I received praedyth's revenge 3 times in one raid before. One Templar fight every player on the team received 2x of the same reward. One player got 2 fate bringers he did not need, where as other received 2x useless armor pieces. And myself 2x praedyth's. Only to receive a 3rd from atheon. Getting double drops is now a regular occurrence this game is a -blam!-ing joke. id rather just play 10000000 hours to unlock the things I want rather then deal with rng. Even if 10000000 hours takes longer at this point. At least I know i am working towards a goal. Not taking a blind shot in the dark at dumbass rewards. The game shouldn't re reward the same person the same armor pieces or guns so long as someone else in that group requires the item. Until it recognizes that all characters have breached the point of needing anything, and are obviously just doing it to do it. In which case then yeah throw me 10000 more praedyth's to add to my ever growing ascendant trash pile

1 ReplyThe system seems messed up for me as well!! 3 different characters all three loot drops the same! I don't need 3 lights of the abyss! A helmet would be nice! I never got a helmet on VoG either no matter how many time I did the damn thing!!

Haha I really wish you didn't use the only gun I can't seem to get as your example. I will say though that the new raid seems to have really improved this. Since running the raid maybe 10 (incomplete) times, I've only gotten one repeat item

It's fine how it is honestly. I've gotten nothing for the past 10-15 runs I've done vog and have gotten shops, shards, 3timebreakers, 3 warlock helms (two in one run), energy and just this week last word 1.0. Even still I think it's fine.

2 RepliesI get what you mean, the way RNG works is basically you have to spin a wheel at the same amount of push from the same spot over and over again. The only way your loot will ever change will be for you to spin the wheel from a different point, the loot value changing, or the amount of power on the spin, otherwise it's the same answer repeatedly. For instance the only guns I've gotten over the past month have been the icebreaker and last word, 3 icebreakers and 5 last words, simply cause there was no change in the values of the things I got or the power put into the spin. The thing is bungie knows about this issue as a friend of mine is an programmer/engineer, he's real damn disappointed in that screwed up system suckering in players like us to grind out hours of our precious time to find the same stuff time after time. Oh, and by the way, don't trust bungie replies on here, they won't fix a damn thing.

Bump Always get the same drop in the vog and only materials out of every heat yet the same guy that pulled an ice breaker from a vog chest always pulls an exotic from those chest and always get vex. And also in crotas raid he pulled dragons breath last week and truth this week. Same people get good drops same ppl get crap drops this is not random ppl it has to be based on something bc I see the same ppl always getting awesome drops

I watch others in my fire team get legendary drops and ships or exotics while I get shafted with f-ing blue sh!t. Chances of me getting descent drops is like 1 in 300 plays, while others is like 1 in 10 or better. Come on bungie fix it.

Could explain Xur's inventory, repeating bounties, maybe even why the gunsmith sells rare fusion rifles every 3 days. --edited to be more "on topic"
