Bump for 2015

I feel robbed. Just played The Dark Below. Where is the content, it took me no time at all to complete solo, I played with a friend as well and did it in a quarter of the time. Yes there are extra things to do BUT the benefits are probably 50hrs away from playing the same missions OVER AND OVER! I payed £35.00 for this DLC, which is CRIMINAL, this content SHOULD HAVE BEEN FREE. I get the distinct felling this content is not even new, I think its been there all along and Bungie/Activision are screwing us for more money for something we should have received from this scant release anyway, I could have brought a complete other game for the price of the DLC. We as a gaming community need to pull our heads out of our backsides and say a firm NO to DLC. At one time this was part of the game now you get charged the cost of the game and more for next to no additional content and Activision are the worst for it. Severely disappointed and feeling cheated more than ever. This content should match the half the size of the main game and its not even close. And by the way where is Matchmaking for RAIDS and Daily and Weekly Nightfall, this is a must, very few gamers have 5 people they can play with, Destiny sold what 500,000,000 copies, how many of those copies are regularly active, I bet its barely anything near the number sold? I have owned the game since release and have not managed to get in to a RAID with more than 2 people (including me) out of the fifty times I have tried, its BS. There needs to be a a hardness director to take in to account SOLO and MULTIPLAYER for ALL CONTENT. The game is too hard and too restrictive to the gaming community and caters for hardcore gamers only. Bungie/Activision are cutting themself off from probably 70% of the people that brought this game. It is ridiculous to expect people to play 6hr missions, how do you think we afford games, we have to WORK! Yours Totally Disdained.

Edited by Sl0wBurN: 12/9/2014 7:12:02 PMBought it yesterday few hours before launch ... Did missions and got halfway through raid and realize.... this is it ? This was supposed to be in game all along and i just paid 20 more dollars for what? So i can grind all over again..? I AM A SUCKER !!!!!! I have no problem admitting that . After i was steadfast in saying i would not give this company another nickel ... I did ... I am a dumbass... The raid seems exciting but then.. What ? It doesnt matter ? I have to go back to the same bs to level up all the same old shit i already have ? No thanks im good. thank you bungie for creating a large backlash of fans or i should say former fans who really believed in your product into jaded monsters who hate you...

So... most game producers are only committed in making games which limit the players from actually completing the game etc. Thus forcing the player to keep PAYING AND WAITING! They stopped caring about the values which makes a game deep and profound (except maybe japanese producers, but they will catch on to the market) WHY? easy, to make the players keep PAYING. I for one will not stand for this bs! WAKE up people! if you keep being dumbasses and continue paying for 15 min dlc they will keep shitting on you! Some producers have already realized this and have decided to not charge like this. Together we can change the future of gaming. Lets stop being bullied. Game producers are already filthy rich from the original game sales. add ons should be like 5$ not 20$ thats bs. I love destiny dont get me wrong I just want people to understand youre getting shit on that is all.

Edited by Zebros: 4/10/2015 1:42:32 AMEveryone voting for rip off doesn't realize that all DLCs are priced worse than the dark below. In CoD $15 gets you multiplayer maps. In the dark below you have much more than that. If you ran the Crota raid more than 15 times you got your $20 worth.

I voted "Worth It", but wish that there was more to it. I enjoyed the story missions and the Crota's Bane bounties. However, I do wish that there was more. I wish that they had added patrol missions. More missions. More strikes. New public areas. New types of enemies (other than in the raid). I don't feel that it was a rip off, but not a great value either. #Wishlist

You missed a middle option

Edited by Legend of Jordy: 3/18/2015 5:41:27 AMWorth it if you buy the expansion pass and if you have siblings or someone else who could benefit from your purchase besides you.

Except for the people that bought the season pass, everyone pretty much knew what content it had before buying.

I think the dlc price was not bad i have gotten a hell of alot more game time then 1hour out of it. Still hoping for some story but the gameplay is great. Im going to get on now and kill crota again cause im still having fun with it.
-
£20 for an hours worth of story and a raid. I'm embarrassed for bungie/Activision. ODST wasn't much more and look at all the content that had. It's a shame because I got this dlc because I liked the game. I can't justify buying any sequel if this is what we can expect. I'm so disappointed.

i think if you got ripped of on the game, you're getting ripped off on the DLC too

Its so sad, the game that could have been. I loved Halo and when i heard that Bungie was making a game like halo for the ps4, i couldnt wait i actually pre ordered it and have never done that before. ive been reading the forums and i see a lot of people that are really pissed on every topic and i think they all have a point. yes I want my say too , my say, my opinion, as some of you who are so used to getting screwed over, just accept it as a part of life. I had my cash ready to buy the disk locked content as i love to play the weekly and nightfall but i thought id take a look at what the other guardians thought of it. you have changed my mind. i liked the game so much i have been looking online, reading up on destiny and its a sad story the more i find out the worse i feel. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZ5BpeHVTWY So no, i will not be buying any dlc but more to the point i will never purchase anything with the name activision or bungie on it ever again . i paid for this game so will keep it and play it from time to time and in years to come when the DLC is free as it was meant to be, ill download it and maybe carry on from where i left off. until then i have to end this love affair as i know its no good for me. if this is the future of gaming, then its the beginning of the end. Screw people for everything you can, its the way of this world right Happy lifetime everyone .

Not worth it.

Destiny is like heroin. You know that it is bad for you but you just can't stop using/playing it.

Edited by Boogerwood: 12/11/2014 7:10:31 PMI'll still say worth it. I'll withhold final judgment until all the content is released that comes with the Season Pass. It really wasn't that much money, though it's fair to ask why we were charged at all for Dark Below. 80% or more of the content was already in the game or simply reused models. Would've liked more story and cutscenes. Honestly, it's too soon for me to judge too harshly.

It is what it is. Like wrath of the panda for wow. At some point gamers can smell the end. I just wish it wasn't so soon.
-
2 days out about 60% of the community think this is ripe off... I wonder what people that dont come to the forums would vote? Bungie should too...
-
The raid alone was worth it
-
I don't think it's a rip off, I just spent 10.00 on mario kart 8 for 4 tracks and 3 drivers. 17.50 is not bad for a new raid, new weapons new gear 3 missions 1 strike, I just feel that there should have been more story.
-
Not disappointed.
