Dont upgrade exotics till final dlc
Seeing that every dlc release will reset your progression , why don't you never upgrade it use it stock , join a team who did the grinding and have the good weapons , you just use your legendary or stock standard exotic that's a good to say suck my nuts deej. You wait for the third reset next year then you can begin upgrading

They will likely have four expansions. I'd say they'll have microtransactions around the third expansion. Destiny 2 will be 2016-17 I'd say. If their smart, character progress will transfer to D2. If it comes out in 2017, you'll probably have six expansions.
