It'll take you self centered idiots 2 days to do it again while you play new content. Wow such a chore and such work ... arggg how will I ever do it. I seriously can't even wrap my brain around why you we-tards are even bitching. This is not even a big deal and happens in just about every expansion of any persistent/ongoing game. New expansion/content comes out and you start the grind again... are all the people bitching never played an mmo? Is that why it seems hard for me to understand since this type of stuff has been a standard for the last 10 years of gaming?
If it was another game they would have said cya exotics because your no longer any good. At least bungie allows you to upgrade your current ones which makes the gear pool even larger if this continues for the entirety of the game. This will allow all you SPECIAL SNOWFLAKES the ability to be different and have a multitude of exotics to choose from.
Pull up your -blam!-ing skirts people its not the end of the world and not worth striking over.

2 RepliesI'd have gone with "Princes" myself, for several reasons: 1) All the women I've encountered while playing Destiny have fallen into the "complain the least; play the best" demographic 2) Most of the "DERPs" and/or players whose forum fury borders on trolldom have this certain attitude that brings to mind something along the lines of... "King Joffrey upon discovering a peasant hath pissed in his Highness' royal cornflakes." Still, props for the acronym. I lol'd and will henceforth use it myself. I also much prefer your meaning than previous games in which I've seen it used in reference to "Disturbingly Erotic Role-Play".

1 ReplyI think one of the problems is that Destiny is supposed to be an mmo but it's an fps which is usually fast paced and fast rewarding. Destiny has opened up to new people who probably haven't had experience of a game where you grind and expect stuff on a plate. Most fps are risk reward, mmos reward patience and time dedication and occasionally skill

I'm pretty angry I worked for most of the exotic weapons only to have them be below the new damage cap and are maxed out. I like of of the ideas... But Bungie took two steps back.

6 RepliesIt's not just about time and materials invested. (Although I have invested a significant amount of all of those.) Two months ago I would never have said this, but I also don't have enough glimmer to upgrade the 6+ Exotics that I regularly use. 7,000 glimmer per piece would be about 42,000 glimmer. Considering that I can only have 25,000 at a time, that leaves me with few good options. The Coins part I can live with, but the glimmer *and* the XP reset are two costs too many. Not to mention that Xur will have a 'rotating inventory' of Exotics available to upgrade; i.e. I might not even be able to upgrade the items I want on a given week. Given his past (terrible) track record of rotating Exotics, I'm not too optimistic about him actually get around to all of the weapons in a timely manner. Why? That's the question I keep asking myself about all the hoops you have to jump through to get better Exotics. Why? Just 7 days ago Bungie buffed all of the Exotics without my glimmer, XP, or Shards. Now all of the sudden they need me to grind moar. Why? The majority of people are clearly angry, and I don't blame them.

I played PSU for the best part of 5 years. This game was renowned for having the most difficult grinds in any MMO even gaycraft fans gave it the wide birth. Yet somehow they managed to pull it off. A new mission would be released that had the new items or a new vendor item would be available a slow creep higher every time. Oh and the weapons didnt need days and days of leveling either once you got it, thats it.. you got it. More emphasis was put on character leveling not perpetual weapon recycling and by that I mean 'find' - level up - discard. rinse/repeat. Seldom did PSU have an update that rendered everyones gear and effort they put in to getting that gear totally pointless- In fact they NEVER fkcing did that at all. Bunghole are fkcing dumber than I thought if they think we think this is fun.

7 RepliesI spent hundreds of hours leveling more than 30 exotic weapons and armor pieces between gathering materials, ascendants, doing bounties, and using the weapons to upgrade them. There's nothing self centered about not wanting all of my time to have been for absolutely nothing.

1 ReplyScrew your logical argument! I've spent 600 hours in destiny, maxed over 60 legendary and exotic weapons and armor pieces and have three 30 warlocks! All my gear should be instantly upgraded to max level in the expansion so I can immediately kill Crota on hard mode!!!!! The tears invigorate me.

5 Repliesi don't think i have ever played an mmo that resets your progress, sure you get new/better gear but you dont lose exp, or levels when new content is released. this is all i have to say on this g'day.
