Constructive criticism: (Destiny issues and fixes)

Hello Bungie, I have now invested enough time into the game to throw my two cents into the mix of ideas already circulating the forums, on how to improve the overall game. First let me say that I enjoy this game very much. I have done every aspect of this game from PvE/PvP to raiding. I enjoy playing all the classes and will now hit lv 30 with all three thanks to the IB event (6+ weeks with no boots for all three, but have everything else from the HM raid -_-….). Great game in my opinion but there are some quick issues that could be resolved to improve the quality of life for your community. In no particular order of importance, just things I know the community would benefit from. Cryptarch/Faction packages should not contain the following: Class items, MoL, Shards/Essences, and Strange Coins. This simple improvement would yield a positive response from the community. In the case of Faction packages weapons/armor and shaders should be the only things received as it is unique to the faction. Gunsmith should sell static combinations of weapons based on your level: Much like your Vanguard weapon smith sells Legendary static weapons week after week. The Gunsmiths inventory should be exactly that; Assign a faction system and implement static weapons for glimmer much like you did in the IB. The Vanguards inventory can then be changed to a non-static inventory that randomizes the perks on their weapons daily for marks. This would make these weapons desirable even after player’s complete VoG. Strike Playlist currently has no benefit other than farming for marks: Strikes are fun and offer much to players up to the point of completing VoG. Once a player attains weapons and armor from VoG however, the Strike Playlist loses much of its appeal. The weapons and armor that drop are no longer upgrades to the player. Since strikes are a main source of entertainment once the weekly challenges and raid are accomplished, a system of reward for players in this situation needs to be put in place. I’ll talk more about this at the end. Vault of Glass: I’m not going to talk about the glitches and errors as there are too many. This is more for the drops, Item’s like Chatter white, Aspect of Glass/Time breaker should drop once then be removed from the player’s loot table. These are “Achievement items” granted once someone beats VoG. Once acquired, they should be removed from the loot table as you don’t keep earning the same achievement again. At the same time the drop rate for duplicate gear should be decreased if your player already has an existing item. This simple fix would once again result in a positive response from the community. Materials: Simple fix for this is to increase the amount given from chest or the material itself. Upgrading a pieces of armor requiring 16/25 mats per upgrade results in 100+ materials needed, getting 1-2 per chest/material with the occasional 10 off rare chest makes for one of the most complained about systems in the game. Increasing the amount given by even twice as much would alleviate much of the negative response by the community on this matter. Boss drops: There are none. Players want to feel some kind of unique experience when they kill a boss in a particular area. You have a wide variety of boss encounters yet none of them offer something unique to the player base and again reducing the overall appeal of strikes once VoG is completed. Introducing unique weapons or armor from strikes would add that appeal. Killing Phogoth from the Summoning Pit Strike for example could give a unique item that would represent the event. The item doesn’t have to be VoG level gear but perhaps have bonus of some kind that make the item desirable in some instances. Lastly I offer an idea that I believe can truly add some customization and potential to every aspect of the game. Once you hit 30: The game now sees this and alters your drops. The game at this point has a chance of dropping light 30 gear. Vanguard, Cryptarch, Strikes, Weekly’s etc, now see that you possess a full set of Light 30 gear and offers variants as random drops. Strikes on the moon would have a chance at dropping a set of legendary light 30 gloves that have a unique bonus to hive. Dead Orbit could drop a set that would increase the faction bonus granted from patrols. Cryptarch would now have a chance at decoding random light 30 gear with random assortments of perks much like re-rolling in iron banner. The basic idea of all this is it would add appeal to everything. Strikes would once again be exciting knowing that you could get an item that would possibly replace an existing set of raid gear with something that could customize the players play style or desire. It would add initiative for faction grinding as you could get a special light lv 30 faction specific items with new abilities and perks. Most would simply be preexisting items so nothing but light level would be changed. I feel these additions could improve and already amazing game for the best. Please feel free to leave comments and ideas and excuse the grammar errors, I was trying to get this on paper as fast as possible. Tend to forget soon as I start playing

 • I so wish bungie wasn't on the nerf wagon right now. this is such a great idea, it's to bad it is as that means bungie wont use it. all though i do understand the materials thing, that's part of grinding on every MMORPG . . . although destiny is hardly an MMORPG by any PC standard . . . All of the rest is absolutely brilliant . . . and that's why bungie wont do it, after all it would damage their appearance of complete ineptitude.
