Weekly Strike is Too Hard for Solo Play
After the last update, I am no longer able to complete the weekly strikes on my own. :(
Unfortunately, I don't have friends to play with and this is the only way for me to get strange coins and other loot.
I appreciate if you could make the solo player experience a little more fair for old guys like me.

3 RepliesIt's just to keep the merry go round going as slowly as possible. It seems Bungie's approach to longevity is to make the game as slow and difficult as possible. "That will keep them busy"!! On a similar note, anyone else notice the lack of strange coins recently?

Yeah....i noticed it got harder, before the patch i could solo as long as i carried Ammo Synthesis for each of my weapons. Now i can't even complete it, even with the spare ammo the enemies sponge so many rounds you're forever reloading. Also the AI snipers need nerfing.....one shot, one kill takes the piss.

I agree completely. The term 'very hard' should be changed to Solo=Dead.

Strike really isn't meant for solo play, that's why on strike playlist and map strikes have matchmaking. If you can't manage it on the current difficulty solo, go to tower and recruit a temporary team. That's what I do and it always works for something small like strike

Bungie mentioned they're looking into correcting this issue for us lone wolves....maybe next week will be when it happens.

4 RepliesSame issue here. I prefer to solo the weekly strikes and I no longer can. Apparently I'm required to play the way I'm told, and not the way I prefer.

4 RepliesStory missions are optimized for solo play. So there is already an entire game mode for solo players. You can run them in higher levels for a challenge. Strikes are optimized for more than solo play, but less than a raid. To optimize them for solo play, would take a whole subset of the game out. They had strikes capable of solo completion, but trying to make them challenging from there for the nominal fireteam of 3, made them too hard in some cases for a fireteam of 3. Hence the recent optimization, to make them be the intended difficulty for the intended party size.

Just join the groups that are dedicated to recruiting teams. There's no need to make this game easy. You just need some people to help out

A friend gave me some help; solo'd nightfall. Very difficult but doable. I still miss it the way it was pre patch though.

3 RepliesGo to youtube and watch vids of other ppl who give tips, advice and good hold up spots for the solo nightfalls. I did last week's and this week's solo. Soloing the nightfalls now is more about bringing the right tools for the job but I have not noticed a huge difference in difficulty.

No doubt. I joined a friend with my 30 Titan to help his 25 warlock complete lvl 26 weekly and took us 10min to get too the boss and almost an hour to beat the boss. Before the update he could do the whole thing in an hour by himself. The wizards should be a boss in the unlocked add on . Those are harder to beat than Atheon lmao

It's not hard to make friends. Especially when you're posting on a forum that has a section dedicated towards doing so.

I ended up doing the nightfall twice yesterday. Once for the drops the 2nd time because 2 guys in the clan I'm in needed to do it. Lol. There are plenty of people who will do that to help out their Destiny bros.

It's definitely become more difficult. Fortunately I've had friends pop in around the halfway point. I like to solo weekly and nightfall as well, and have noticed the difficulty spike.
