Did you ever stood around the cryptarch long enough to hear him ask for someone being able to speak pre-golden age german? I do speak german and since I live in germany I downloaded the german version of the Destiny Companion App... ...which leads to some problems. First of all I'd like to mention that I always play my games completely in english, mostly for voice acting reasons. ([i]Seriously guys... if you complain about "Dinklebots" voice acting you have yet to experience half assed german voiceovers[/i]). [b]BUT[/b] I also play my games in english, because it is [i]SO [/i]much easier to communicate with other players, when you know the english terms. Especially now, when we have something like the Vault of Glass. The first problem that occurs is, that there is [b]NO WAY[/b] of changing the apps language. I'm stuck with all my german terms and expressions and it's confusing (even though I understand german fine). It's just a small example but the german term for Vault of Glass is "Gläserne Kammer", which translates to something like "Chamber of Glass". (Literally translated it would be "Glassy Chamber".... yeah.....) It would be nice to be able to change the apps language. [b]The second problem, which is the real deal right here[/b], is about the news articles that pop-up right when you open the app. You want to know which news article was the newest one until today? It was about the Vault of Glass being available NOW. You read that right.[b] The german news page is so outdated it's not even funny[/b]. I learned to live with that and always waited for DeeJ's news post in the forum... [b]BUT[/b] [u]you cannot read that in the german app.[/u] [u][b]If you click on the link provided in the forums it redirects you to the german news article WHICH DOES NOT EXIST. So all you get is a blank page.[/b][/u] I think I speak not just for me, but for everyone that doesn't live in a country where english is the main language, but I would appreciate it if someone from Bungie actually reads this and changes something to make things better. [u][b]tl;dr:[/b][/u] [b]- Please let users change the language of the companion app - Please update news articles for ALL languages more often[/b] And since I happen to speak pre-golden age german I would gladly help in translating the news into german.
