We need a horde/firefight mode. Needs to reward players based on performance. For instance, if you split it in to four tiers Wave 1-25, 26-50, 51-75, 76-100. In each tier give the player the potential to fight "bosses" based on team performance. If the team is mopping up and not dying, add a boss randomly throughout fight. Each boss has potential to drop engrams. If the team is not performing well, they get less boss opportunities per wave tier.
You could set it up like this:
Wave Tier 1 - Level 26 Mobs W/ Maximum of 2 (Bosses Level 27)
Wave Tier 2 - Level 27 Mobs W/ Maximum of 3 (Bosses Level 28) (Add "Daily Mission" difficulty-esc modifiers)
Wave Tier 3 - Level 28 Mobs W/ Maximum of 4 (Bosses Level 29) (Add Weekly Strike" difficulty-esc modifiers)
Wave Tier 4 - Level 29 Mobs W/ Maximum of 5 (4 @ lvl 29 and 1 @ lvl 30) (Add "Nightfall Strike" difficulty-esc modifilers)
Access to bosses needs to based on a Strike Team KDR average. The higher the Wave Tier the higher the KDR average needs to be.
Completing a Tier 1 Wave rewards with (1) Strange Coin/Mote + What was won from RNG and Boss Loot.
Completing a Tier 2 Wave rewards with (3) Strange Coins/Mote + What was won from RNG and Boss Loot & Chance for purple
Completing a Tier 2 Wave rewards with (6) Strange Coins/Mote + What was won from RNG and Boss Loot & HIGHER Chance for purple
Completing a Tier 2 Wave rewards with (6) Strange Coins/Mote + What was won from RNG and Boss Loot & Higher Chance for purple or a normal chance for a Exotic.
