Marcus Lehto returns to Bungie!

http://blog.marcuslehto.com/ Now I can sleep soundly at night. The master mind behind all things Halo is now back at Bungie working on the new project. One of the most Grizzled amongst the Ancients, he was one of the few to work and create Halo from day one of the project back in 1997. And now he is back to doing it again on the new IP. All I have to say is I'm glad he is back. [Edited on 01.22.2012 10:11 AM PST]

 •
Posted by: GhostLink2401 After Reach, I'm not holding my breath too hard. BUT, Maybe a fresh IP is just what Bungie needs.
I think you're right, Bungie are good at making *new* games/universes, but improving on old ones ain't their thing really. To much rules, cannon, previous games not to mention "been there, done that". Everyone needs a change of environment now and then, especially game devs, otherwise you'll just see them same thing over and over again (CoD) or bad decisions made just to make it feel new (Reach). After Reach I'm sceptic, but I'll give it a fair chance, to prove that when bungie are "free" from rules, cannon and lore, they can once again make great games (that's not Shadowrun/Crysis/CoD 1,5) that are new and innovative ^^
