Xyor killed all on my lonesome.

This is my story. (tldr @ end) After about two or three hours of game play, seven deaths and a weeks worth of frustration trying to get help from other players only to be abandoned to fend for myself, I have finally killed Xyor and claimed my victory prize and bounty of Thorn. I love destiny for its ability to connect players on the planets whilst we vanquish darkness from the far reaches of the Galaxy I realise that though we've been granted by the holy gods of Bungie, not many people see it as a means to make new team mates throughout our planet and help each other for soul purpose of helping another person. I asked many people to aid me in the final requirement of my exotic bounty with offers of returned mateship and assistance whenever I would be asked and more then usual I wasn't met with a response. Those that did help I am grateful of, but also quickly gave up after our fireteam died once or twice at the door runes rather than aspiring to fight past the foul Hive and venture on towards Phogoth ultimately the death of Xyor. None the less, single handedly I took the task upon myself to slay Xyor and manage to do so easily. Timely, but easily. The rune presented itself as the first obstacle with its continual onslaught of hive trying to pluck my Warlock's eyes from its sockets along with any Guardians willing to risk their life for the aid of another. Time after time ghost's ability to decipher the uncrackable codes of the final third rune was met with darkness as a swarms of Wizards, Knights and Thralls made short work of any fireteam I had with me until they deemed it impossible. Hunters, Warlock's and Titans alike leveled from 27 to 29 were thwarted like dregs on the cosmodrome continually. Eventually resorting to fleeing back and forth on from the top of the stair to the bottom (whilst getting a killer workout on my thighs to impress the Shipwright) I manage to pick the Wizards of one by one until ghost finally deciphered the final code and allowed me to process forwards on my journey. The second dilemma was the Summoning Chambers. Acolytes and Knights raining continued fire from their Hive Boomers exterminated me over and over again. Not giving up, I pushed through the hardship taking the grunts first which were shortly followed by their leaders until I managed to find a vantage point shielded from most enemy fire. I continually fought of waves and waves of hive, dodging fire, collecting ammo drop and cowering for my life, praying that each tombship to venture nearby contained my the prize I was looking for. On the third ship, my prayers were finally answered when a Covent of wizards loomed in on my position. Xyor. My reticule was set, my Radiance was charged. Gunfire all around, me I threw my Firebolt Grenade and it struck true! almost completely destroying its shield. I unleaded my Guardians Radiance in a fiery blaze, throwing grenade after grenade, returning fire with every shell I had until finally he was silenced. I rejoiced by looking Ghost dead in his comforting blue eye and returning to orbit so that I could venture back to earth and claim my reward. But today, I stand here as a proud Warlock holding the head of Xyor in one hand and Thorn in other at level 26 only today and did what other guardians could not as a team. I know this tale will probably go on to be another dead ghost story centuries from now but my message to all of you is this.
Can't y'all help a brother?
May your aim be true and your loot be bountiful guardians, shine your light to the corners of the Galaxy. -Dawnshock533 tldr: Help a fellow Guardian once in a while, Loot lasts until you find something better, a friendship lasts a lifetime.
