I'll preface this by saying I was looking at some lower level gear on my characters and really liked some of the aesthetics. I know if these were labeled exotic with some new perks, they could be considered some of the nicest looking gear.
I'm not great with the technical terms, but I hope you get the idea.
1. Lower level armor can be infused with light from broken down legendary/exotic armor to make it legendary or exotic. Maybe taking both pieces to some armor vendor and they work some magic. Low level armor could have all the added abilities of the legendary/exotic. It would basically just keep the aesthetics, maybe add some glow to it, like what you get for doing the nightfall.
2. Same deal with weapons. Can bring thorn/bad juju/red death etc.. to the armory along with a low level weapon and have the exotic/legendary abilities transferred. Maybe some new light or glow as well?
3. Added shaders for low level weapons when you reach level 20. I would like to skin weapons, I think others would as well.
Basically this would achieve 3 things.
1. Low level gear (greeens/blues) would become useful & relevant after reaching level 20.
2. Looking at low level gear and hunting for it will make the game more fun. Going through every blue you get to see if its something you would like to transform would bring new life to the game.
3. Not all guardians will look the same. Everyone would be much more unique. It would be nice to see what others come up with and lots of fun coming up with new armor and weapon styles.
What are your thoughts on this? Some negatives that I may have overlooked. I personally think this would freshen up the game for high levels and make characters much more unique. Truer form of customization and not wearing certain armor just bc it's high light level.
