Breaking News: Unlootable Objects and You

Recently there has been a rash of treasure chests and material nodes appearing throughout the Solar System that Guardians have been unable to open or otherwise gather. These objects appear perfectly normal and cannot be distinguished from similar objects that can be looted. In some cases Guardians have reported simply not being able to even interact with the object though it is clearly there and other times Guardians have reported they can interact with the object but get no result for their efforts and the object remains there. Many have attributed the strange occurrences to the likely enemies: The Fallen, The Cabal, The Vex, or the Hive. Others however believe that such clever deception is far too juvenile for any of these enemies to participate in. Some theories are now suggesting it may be one of our very own who is committing these insidious acts of random chaos. Currently there are two favored suspects who have yet to produce a convincing alibi: The Cryptarch - Swears that he has not left the Tower since time began, but many find this to be dubious as he was recently seen in a shadowy corner discussing a strange heavy sack with Cayde-6. Despite his objections suspicion is still high mainly because many guardians believe the Cryptarch has been boosting their valuable Engrams to line his own inventory. What are you hiding beneath that cowl Cryptarch?! An Exotic Helm!? How about under those robes? Are you wearing a full set of Exotic armor?! We demand answers! Frame #12486-d, A.K.A. "Broomba", "Broom Bot", and "That Robot Who Sweeps the Floors" - Suspicion rests mainly on this unit because of his complete lack of response when questioned. Other Frame units offer plausible alibi's when questioned, however "Broomba" simply stares blankly at the floor when questioned. Many suggest there is no possible way for a Frame Unit to commit these acts, let alone leave the Tower, but it has been reported that Amanda Holliday offers a "service" for smuggling goods into and out of the tower with "no questions asked". Many believe this is how Xûr gets his goods into the Tower without too much fanfare. Xûr, Agent of the Nine - Our friendly dealer in Exotic Gear may not be as friendly as we believe. Some Guardians describe him as creepy, what with the tentacle face and all, but others believe the tentacles are "cute" or simply part of his disguise or armor. Whatever the case may be suspicion rests with this traveling salesman due mainly to the fact that he is very secretive and seems obsessed by Strange Coins which Guardians are prone to collect in their travels. Additionally Xûr seems to have a fondness for the Motes of Light generated by a Guardian of exceptional stature and some claim that he eats the Motes in order to maintain his "disguise". Needless to say we have our eyes on you Xûr.
