Here's how easy an 85+ metascore would have been to achieve: 1. Open up areas in bounds (vertically) to explore. If it's possible to jump up to something, you should be able to do it. 2. Scatter grimoire cards, shaders, class banners, ships, and whatever else you can think of in the world to find. Finding things through exploration is a lot more fun than buying them, as if you need that explained. Then, people would actually have motivation to look at every inch of the beautiful world your artists created instead of racing through to the next waypoint. Literally, the effort this would have required would have been for someone to slap on a bunch of different shader combos and names, and design some unique ships/class banners. Then place them randomly in the universe. 500 people and you can't manage this, or figure this out? I'm afraid this is what happens when a company gets too much bloat. Apparently all common sense goes out the window. How is it that something so relatively simple to implement, that would have benefited everyone, isn't there? Especially knowing how much your story stinks to high heaven. And you guys actually delayed this game originally, I'm scared to think what was there 6 months earlier. Don't get me wrong, there's a base game there that's great and has so much potential..if you'd just put a tenth of the effort into simple additions to keep players interested that you do for marketing, spinning and PR, everyone would be richer and happier. This is a social media age, stop trying to con people solely with smoke and mirrors (the RNG addiction) and just put out something that could be considered a finished product. My intent isn't to come off like a dick, I'm just getting so tired of devs and their pubs putting such minimal amounts of pride and soul into their work, giving us unfinished games out the box and still offering up DLC. Yes, resources and time are limited for everyone, but there are ways to increase the value of a game without spending massive amounts of either. It's been such a wasted opportunity for Bungie and Activision, you generated so much hype at at time when people had nothing much to play. You could have had people engaged and positive about this game up until the first DLC hit. You blew all the hype and goodwill though, that's where greed and an almost arrogant contempt for your audience gets you. Hopefully you guys wise up, you'll make a ton of cash if you do and make a ton of gamers happy in the process. Cheers.
