Got my Guardian into the Iron Banner before work this morning. It was nice to see all that flashy fire in The Tower again- felt like the beta days.
I got to play three matches, and I have to say, it was a lot of fun.
I CAN feel the difference in the Iron Banner- a lot of enemies are harder to kill- and I myself got quite a beating in the beginning. Luckily, every match we started on bottom, but overcame our obstacles and made it on top.
Iron Banner does a good job when it comes to getting you angry. When I first jumped in I knew I had to put myself into that competitive mindset, and so when you get close to losing it really gets you amped up, so thats a bittersweet part of it all.
I saw on the forums that a lot of people don't care for the weaps and armor though- and I don't get that. I loved the Queen's missions.
Even if they have the same stats (or lower) than what I already have- I still strive to obtaining the event armors. I know that they'll be back someday- but maybe with different gear! I want to complete special event sets. I like seeing the Queen's helmet and chest in my bank- and I look forward to seeing the Iron Banner armor in there too- it's all about participating in the events, guys.
TL;DR- Iron Banner is fun and challenging, and I look forward to playing more with my friends after work.

I agree man, Iron Banner is great! I wasn't much of a crucible junky myself, but I guess knowing I am competing for something got me interested. I am terrible at PvP but find myself playing a lot better in the IB. Hit me up if you want to play some time, GT is the same as my forum name.

Iron banner live is a lot different than iron banner beta. The live iron banner is total bullshit
-
I really want that bond, gonna play the hell out of this event for it. The bounties are tough though, slowly but surely I'll get to rank two though.
-
I feel the same way. Most people won't hit rank 3 in the Banner, but I'm going to prioritize it. Just for the sake of saying I did. I'm collecting damn near everything in this game.
-
It is funny because there is no difference at all.
-
I can get #1 on my team has my lvl 5 warlock,I've done it has a lvl 3
-
Weird, the only difference I noticed is that my fully upgraded legendary auto rifle does even less damage than normal. I also noticed that my 29 titan gets melted in full raid gear, while low level warlocks tank hits for days. I am sure it is just the ever lingering lag that plagues this game into complete unplayability for people with certain upload/download ratios.

For me it's the contrary, I would like the emblems and shaders and the armband...but I can't stand PvP in this game and it feels Iron Banner will be even worse since there will be a lot of folk running around with Exotic weapons (don't have one yet). It feels like too much of a grind to get it to even level 1. AS I understand you get 25 rep for winning (up to 30 with equipped items, but you need higher rank for those first) and the only other way is the bounties? For me almost all of them seemed impossible to complete (I am the K/D<1 guy you like getting easy kills on), and if Rank is is about 1000 rep, it would take me ages to get there.
-
Only thing I notice is that weapons behave different. My rare handcannon (a regulator with nearly full impact) seems to be better than in the normal crucible and my legendary shotgun is a lof of fun now.... But everybody still dies as quick (if not even quicker) as in the crucible...

I loved the beta days. Especially Iron Banner where my team and I would most always come out on top. It really felt like the beta days when a friend of mine who also was on my team in the beta played on the Shores of Time with me. We killed it with 2.3+ K/Ds. That map, and Rusted Lands were our team's maps in the beta.

I wish I felt that difference .Would have been cool
