Exotic Mechanics
Alright let's be honest here. How many of us were surprised when we bought that first piece of exotic armor, found another piece and were not able to equip both?
The majority of us got a little thrown off for a second, but soon realized this was probably for the best. For a titan, the ability to have two grenades and upgrade fist of havoc at the same time would be insane while playing against other players in the crucible...but what about in PvE?
[b]My question to you is, what do you think about bungie giving us the ability to use more exotic weapons and armor to create the ultimate badass while playing against ads and bosses? [/b]
Knowing that this would ultimately lead to a debate against our light level...I propose that if you maxed out 2 or more exotic pieces of armor then one would be at light level 30 while the rest would be bumped down to light level 27 while playing vanguard levels and strikes. You could only equip 2+ pieces of exotic armor if they were maxed out prior to adding them to your character...creating the ultimate fighting machine while remaining at level 29 to balance it all out.
This may sound complicated, but we all know how much time and effort bungie puts in their game. They could figure it out.
This is all for fun and I'm curious to see what others think.

1 ReplyI like the idea of having a special bi-monthly event that has no restrictions on the number of exotics that can be equiped. The Platinum Banner. This tournament could last a weekend & give out special weapons/gear to the top ranking guardians. These rewards should be extremely limited, like maybe theres only 10 up for grabs worldwide.

2 RepliesThere aren't many exotics. Why would they make it so you can have them In each slot? If you had one in each armor slot (excluding legs) you would be wearing half the available exotics for your class. So every class will have 6 different variations of armor. That's retarded. Each class has: 1 exotic gauntlet 2 exotic body 3 exotic helmet :P

Exptoc armor gives you abilities from your skill tree, if inwas able to wear more than one peice incould have 90% of my abilities unlocked without touching my actual ability distribution. You will never be allowed to equip more than one, besides weapon wise I have found purples that are better than any exotics in certain game modes.

5 RepliesThere should be two grand master story missions/quests related to the exotic weapons and exotic armor. The reward for beating one of these long hard quests is the ability to harness even more light for your character which grants the ability to equipped one more exotic piece of armor or weapon depending on which quest you did. The quests would have to be very hard to beat, have new locations, and have new bosses. The requirements for starting the quest would have to be level 28-30 have found or bought at least 1 exotic (weapon or armor depending of quest), and have finished The Black Garden mission and the Vault of Glass Raid. No repetitive missions but you will visit locations you have been to before to gather information and items.
