I still don't know why the loot cave was patched. Its farming. Its not exploitation or cheating. You can farm tons of MMOs but oh no "we're bungie and we are mysterious ***holes". I'll admit it used the loot cave till level 12. And you know what? I can see where some people would get mad that people are farming which is a strategy (like camping is) and just chop it up. If people want to play like that then that's their choice. The story is garbage anyway. Oh wait " that's not how we envisioned destiny being played" well guess what some people don't care how they play the game, as long as they are having fun. I know some of you will judge me and there will be name calling because I decided to have an opinion but I don't care. Bungie ruined something fun, as usual.

I agree. Bungie really screwed it up and catered to the cry babies with this one. Removing OPTIONS is ALWAYS a bad thing to do ALL THE TIME!

There's another cave calm down

Yes other MMOs let you farm but the difference is that in other MMOs a level 3 enemy drops level 1 to 5 gear and that's all. In other MMOs it actually takes 30 seconds or more for a single enemy to respawn. This patch just makes the cave a normal farming method rather than farming on steroids. Besides the whole level 3 dropping end game gear I mean...

Let it die

I supported the cave. That being said the cave served the perpose. It showed bungie that the loot system is dun -blam!-ed and that people will always cling to the most efficient way regardless of what it is. Bungie wanted players to get good stuff from the criptarch. Bungie wanted strikes to be worthwhile. So because of the cave we will soon be getting that stuff soon. We really needed a better loot system. Bungie is taking the right steps towards that.

There's better spots...

It was "patched" Ive been there and the spawn timer is random from 6-30 seconds there is no 40 second timer like they said they did. Others on the forums have said the same as well. So either way the cave is still a valid place to farm :)
