Today I've received Errors: Caterpillar, Centipede, and Monkey back to back with Monkey being the most prominent one. I've stopped using WiFi to play Destiny and ran a LAN cable from my router. I always receive the errors within 30 seconds to 5 minutes of beginning a Campaign mission. Help...
Update: all platforms are affected. I've tried restarting my PS4, router, and my modem. None work. It's definitely a server issue or a problem with today's hot fix. Most likely, the hot fix update is the cause of the issue. Expect there to be a new patch released soon. @Bungie there's a lot of pissed off fans out here. Get your shit together and test these patches before letting them past QA!
Update: seems to be working for me now. I've been playing now for over a half hour.

guys, same problem, i can't play for a week due to errors such as: centipede, baboon, caterpillar, marionberry, vulture.. but especially for centipede error. my nat is open, I also opened the doors of destiny reccommended by bungie to play but nothing, i can't play. petition to get compensation?

I'm aware that bungie says they are trying to fix the error, and the servers, because it says so every time I get an error code. I have gotten, in the last few days: Elk, Centipede, Monkey, etc etc I've gotten a lot of error codes and when I come on the forum it talks about my internet connection, forwarding my ports, and making it sound like the issue is on my end. If it's on my end, Bungie, then why do other games that I have play just fine? I have experienced inconsistent connection, despite a highspeed connected internet, since the game came out. They have not decreased in frequency since the patch. Dare I say they have happened more often! Tonight as I write this I cannot start any mission because if I do I immediately get an error message. I can't even stay in my xbox live party without being kicked out. Sometimes it kicks me off the internet, despite my router telling me I'm good to go, and won't connect for several minutes. As I said I'm aware that Bungie is likely working to fix the issue but I already played the beta once. I'd like to not be a tester since the actual game has come out. I feel like if you spent time dumbing down the Queen's Wrath and fixing some cave n00bs were farming you should have spent that time fixing the server problem so many people are having, making sure it was fixed, first. I like this game. I'm on Atheon at the Vault of Glass. I really want to keep playing but you're losing me because I don't feel valued. I don't feel like you give two craps about what's wrong with my connection, if I can play or not, and your whole focus is on new content for more money. I'm aware my opinion at the moment is colored by frustration and I'll feel better when this is over but right now...I'm wishing I wasn't a fan of yours. I'm wishing that if this is the future of gaming with you that I had stopped when you got rid of Halo. I feel better for having gotten this out there, even if it will never matter, so thank anyone who took the time to read it. It really is not my shining moment of peace and tolerance. Tl;dr fix your servers bungie!

I have ran strikes with no problems till today. Now I have gotten disconnected from 3 strikes back to back with error code monkey today in 1 hour time span. I am wired into my router , Is there anything I can do ?

I deleted my game a downloaded it again and it still have error code pop up. I would like bungie to fix this problem please. What can you do to help if you did everything the error code ask but it still won't connect?

error error error why is it doing this? i'm lv 28 so i put in some time and i just finish the raid after the fix because i didn't get anything the first time and can't see what i've won because my connection was lost and now i can't log in without seeing error code centipede. i got the digital guardian copy so i feel like i waste money buying a game out the psn store that i can't play because of my NAT type. anyone from bungie can fix this problem? i did everything they told me with the NAT Type and still i get the error code. WHAT IS GOING BUNGIE ?

I'm having centipede error but only on one of my guardians. I have been playing for a few hours now with others but just one of my 3 gives me the error before I can even get to orbit. What the hell does that mean???

I too have been receiving caterpillar. I cannot even get to the orbit screen before it gives the error message. The funny thing is that other accounts on my ps3 are able to log on and play just fine. I downloaded the mobile app for destiny and it even says that my account has no record of destiny being played (and I have a lvl 23 so there's some actual playtime I've invested). Please help Bungie!!!

I've looked at the router and Xbox One configurations and the NAT is wide open and all ports are forwarded according to instructions. The odd thing I've noticed is that if I start a mission on my own, I get kicked at some point. I can never finish it without getting kicked multiple times. It's gotten so frustrating and hopeless that I've essentially stopped doing solo missions. Here's where it gets interesting. I can do Crucible, patrols, and do missions, strike missions, etc as long as I'm in a group. I hardly ever get kicked when in another group. The second I try to do missions solo, I get kicked at some point before finishing. PLEASE HELP!!! This is supremely frustrating for me and my son. We can't enjoy this game.
