Why is no one comparing Destiny to Dark Souls?

With all the reviews and podcast noting they are disappointed in the lack of a narrative story, my first thought was Dark Souls. Open world, vague story elements that only give you hints about the world around you, more detail for those who want to explore the weapons/grimoire cards, and an overall online universe where you play a small part in an overarching world story. Seem familiar? I love both these games for that very reason yet one gets a great score (almost exalted for the lack of story) and the other gets one disappointed reviewer after another. The comparison seems obvious to me... Thoughts? Am I missing something? Bremblefly Hunter Xbox One
