New In-Game Features!!

Ready up:
When you're in the tower with your fire team and we're all making a mad dash to the vendors and curiously gazing at the new gear when just acquired, there is one element that may make this a lot faster. Upon completing your tower errands and dance party antics, you can communicate to your fire team leader you are ready by pressing the L1 button. This will show your name in the upper right of the screen with a green check mark, indicating you are ready for orbit. Simple press L1 again to unready. The party leader will be unable to go into orbit until the other two members are ready for launch. Obviously, this would be easily communicated with only 3 people, however I game with a guy whose headset is currently broken. This would be a good way for those in similar situations.
Seat's taken:
Bungie decided on a three man fire team after careful and tedious consideration to gameplay. I get it. Three is actually a pretty good number, but consider the following... I am in a group of over 7000 members, so you'd think I'd have no problems finding someone to game with with, right? Wrong. Since I have so many friends and my friends have many of the same, I find it difficult to form a fire team, if I'm "late to the party". There are times when I cannot make online until later than expected, and everyone seems to all grouped up. With that said, I agree with the thousands of other members who are requesting larger fire teams--even if it's just for Patrol.
Sorry, I seem to have misplaced my glasses:
Bungie spent a lot of time working on the character creation. We have our helmets off while in the tower, so we can see the character we created. So, why in the world have they blurred out the faces when you get too close? Bungie should send us all a pair of glasses, so we can see our ugly mugs.
You lookin' at me? Are you looking at me?!
1v1 Sure, you can steal from borderlands if you want, but if I want to challenge a buddy, I want a 1v1 match! Simple...R1 to focus on player. Options to interact...or R2 to challenge!
I love the in-game music, but sometimes I need a break:
I want in-game volume controls! Two reasons... 1. I stream on twitch through PS4, and I'd like an option to lower the game volume, so my voice comes through better. (if anyone knows a way of doing this, please comment below) 2. I want to play my music!
Near-field Communication:
An option to speak with people out in the wild within a certain proximity. I don't like to game with whiners, or super raging teens. If I see someone help me out and I want to game with them, I don't want to waste my time with joining in a party only to find out it's a 9 year old kid...Hey, thanks for the help, but I think I'll pass. If we had a way to communicate within a certain proximity, I could get a feel of what this person is about and decide to game with him/her or not.
This is just a couple things that came to mind last night while I was playing. May add more to this post when I get more ideas.

CRUCIBLE IDEA - They could probably steal something from the next COD. I love the fact that before each match they show your team and their load outs. This should be done where they announce the Bravo/Alpha Teams. Having the ability to cycle through other players' items and loadouts would be great. If not exactly like COD, they can do it during the loading screen where all the ships are flying together before each match. Picture this - with all the ships flying together, having your cursor hover over other player ships reveals the character avatar (and their load out) of who you would be playing with. Not necessarily the whole avatar but at least from the torso up with a see through back ground of the space and ships behind it. For a more clearer idea - If the ship was on the left side of your screen, hovering your cursor over the ship would reveal the character avatar (name, class, race and load out) on the right side of the screen and vice versa. Knowing the map before hand would also help as I find myself adjusting my weapon loadout for every map.

    • All very good suggestions! There's a few that I'm wary about how feasible they may be within the near future (note that I say NEAR future), but a lot of these other functions seem fairly easy to implement, especially since it seems that Bungie will be patching this game regularly. I like the idea about Readying Up at the Tower, and about voice chat proximity. It seems like Bungie really built this game for people that play together on a consistent basis, and left the solo players out in the cold!

    • This conversation... Without ready up. 1-"You guys ready?" 2-"Been ready..." 1-"Why didn't you say so?" 2-"I did..." 1-"Well, let's go then." 1-"Where's [username]?" 2-"Not sure..." 3-"Hey guy's I'm back...We goin' or what? I went to get a drink while I was waiting on you guys..." 1-"ugh" 2-"ugh" 3-"What?" With ready up. 2-Check 3-Check 1-"Let's go!"

    • The "ready up" function sound great. Even if you have headsets, having the thumbs up on their screen would be a good way to say hurry up.
