1 ReplyThe game is fun but it's lame to be a fanboy. Fanboys will never call it like it is they'll continually give credit whether it's due or not. The complaints that I've heard have been valid but that doesn't mean the game is a complete waste. Call it like it is and stop being a fanboy. You are only telling those companies that the bar is low and you don't have to live to a higher standard. It's the same reason why Apple keeps releasing the same product and calling it new, because they know fanboys will buy it anyway.

1 ReplyConstructive criticism would be okay but saying stuff like "Your story sucks" or "Bored after a couple hours" is just annoying and stupid. Why not post an intelligent post about your issues with the game so Bungie can work on fixing said issues. Yeah the game is not perfect but it's not the worst game ever made like some people on these forums think.

2 RepliesThis sort of thread and mindset is useless. I mean, stop and really think about this for a moment. I mean [i]REALLY[/i] think about the people talking about whats wrong around here. They're worried. Disappointed. Upset. Yes. But they also care about the fact this is how it happened for them. People who really hate a game right down to it's guts drop it and never pick it up again. There is no reason to give a darn what happens to the game except maybe to tell your buddies IRL it's crap to warn them. The sheer fact that these people came into the community to talk about what's got them angry - even if it seems mostly like whining - is absolute proof they care just as much as the guys making threads about how much they love it. You want to make a change in the community? You wanna be a real help? Start talking people down a bit. Help get them past the ranting stage and move on to the part were they are giving actual feedback. Every Community needs people like that.

1 ReplyWhat the hell is wrong with this forum? Everyone seems to think that anything but rabid, devout fanboyism is absolute hatred. Criticism and hatred aren't the same thing. Even then, what exactly is so terrible or poisonous about expressing discontent? There's nothing wrong with wanting more from a game. Bungie even has a damned 'Feedback' section that's realistically specifically for people to voice grievances, so they implicitly acknowledge this as well. Quit being so upset that others aren't as devoutly uncritical as you are. It's ridiculous.

6 RepliesI'd love to dig deep into these peoples forum history to see how they reacted to games like Reach, ODST, H3 or even H2. 10 bucks they hated all those games too but always conveniently loved the previous game despite the contradiction.

7 RepliesHere is some reality. When a major title is released and the forums are literally split down the middle in regards to liking or not liking it, that is a major problem. All games where the forums have done this have been forgotten in a couple of months. The game is medicore, period. I guarantee that in a couple of months we will see threads on topic of "where is everyone?" because the population of the game will be dropping fast.
