I had this problem in my relationship over two years bought a new flagship TV, then a Bose surround system, ps4, games, wii u etc etc. The missus wasn't too impressed but like shit did she threaten to leave me over it lol, she knew I was a gadget obsessed freak and gamer. Sure I have responsibilities now being a child, saving for a house etc, but she knows also that I need my hobbies too (her letting me buy destiny and fifa In a month shows her understanding lol) If your settled down and not in trouble financially it sounds very worrying for your relationship that she would freak out like that.
