I and many others were all looking forward to the pre-order/pre-load feature available to us on the current-gen consoles, but despite these features being available we won't be able to play the downloaded game until 3:01 AM PDT on either console. Is it just me or does this defeat the purpose of the pre-load in the first place? For now I'm keeping my physical pre-order so I can do the half hour install and be able to jump in asap. Anyway, just my thoughts on the matter and I wanted to know what you guys thought.

If it saves me from going to a midnight launch, then I don't mind a slight sacrifice in time. I will also add, this is new to consoles, digital will have its benefits in the future.

You can only do this if you got the digital right!?

Well it saves you the super-long download time of the game. My home internet blows, so I'm sure it'll get a couple hours' worth of downloading the initial file out of the way, first. I wonder if there will be a long initial bootup like the beta..

Edited by Needlenoggin316: 8/28/2014 10:38:37 PMYou can play at 12:01 PST and 3:01 EST which are the same time. Sorta lame for you east coasters but Microsoft/Sony probably don't have a reliable way to source your exact location to establish your timezone. Luckily here in Oregon I can play at midnight. I already have my digital guardian edition preloaded and ready to go.
