quoted from deej himself. is he threatening my life or something?
if not, can we please dispense with all the dopey pr stuff? it's great they have ambition, but there's no way this game will deliver on half this nonsense. it's becoming less of a tangible and more of a "feeling" passing into the ether. the only way this game has any chance to live up to this kind of hype is if it turns into jesus christ himself.
"Here at Bungie, you don't finish our games. Our games finish you."

It's the same thing as with World of Warcraft. As long as expansions roll out, no one will ever finish it. It's not that hard of a concept to grasp.
-
The Newsweek piece claims there are more playable weapons in Destiny than words in the entire magazine. That's impressive if true.
-
And before destiny becomes a religion...
-
I'm watching you through your window, sleep well tonight. :D
-
He's probably talking about the series as a whole.
-
Well how many games do people finish to 100% now days?
-
I believe this is the source where Deej made that comment Link: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/you-may-never-finish-destiny-bungie-says/1100-6421970/
"On top of that, Destiny has a competitive multiplayer mode--the Crucible--that you're unlikely to ever truly finish. "And as we said before, [there are] endless amount of hours of fun in the Crucible," Deej said. "Until you've kicked every single ass that plays this game, you haven't finished. And once you have, someone else just bought their first copy. So, fresh meat, Christmas noobs."
The statement he made was really regarding multiplayer. True you'll never "finish" multiplayer because people are always logging on to play, but I find the statement very broad. You can really say that about any Multiplayer game that's competitive like COD or Halo. It only really finishes when you stop having fun or things get boring. Personally, I think they should just stop the PR hype before they paint themselves into the corner and piss off a lot of people.
-
If this is true, completionists will be heavily reduced.
-
I LOLed at this!
-
If this was some virtual world we could subconsciously go to, then I'd spend my time traveling the galaxy, exploring and adventuring while completion is a side quest. Take in the sites before they get splattered with alien bodies.
-
If the data leak is accurate, I suggest you beef up security when you start destiny.
-
heh for me it will depend which happens first, me getting bored or I finish the story or another game comes out that interests me more. simple as that.
-
Well, first let's see how the first month goes. "May the Light be your guide." - GRIMGUARD

Maybe this was directed to those who can't find 5 other players.....................
-
DeeJ's hype train just derailed #rekt
-
"More than a game" -every destiny trailer ever
-
Clearly Deej is going to attack us in our sleep before we can finish everything. It is the only logical inference.....
-
People are going to realize after they play the game a little that the hype was nothing and this is just a generic fps shooter with aliens and vehicles.
-
you do know that come launch day Bungie has a team of Devs working 24/7 so that there will literally be something new to do everyday. This game will be bigger than Jesus.
-
I think he was being a little dramatic

Well considering they plan on adding more content depending on how we play, sure I believe him!
-
I WILL
quoted from deej himself. is he threatening my life or something? if not, can we please curtail this dopey pr stuff. it's great they have ambition, but there's no way this game is going to live up to half this nonsense. it's becoming less of a tangible, and more of a "feeling" passing into the ether. the only way this game has any chance to live up to its hype is if it turns into jesus christ himself.
Ummm ... well ... Never mind.
-
I thought his reasoning for never finishing it was nonsense. He said there will always be new people for you to save in pve or kill in pvp. By those standards yea NOBODY ever completely finishes a game. Listen Deej, once all the content has been run through the game is complete. I will still play it of course but let's not play word games and be misleading.
-
I ignored that quote I know I will run through the content 3 times and I know games aren't unlimited in content
