Is there any word on what kind of matchmaking algorithm Destiny will use? XBL seems to require the use of Microsoft's proprietary TrueSkill algorithm. PSN doesn't require any particular system, as far as I know. So, a few very specific questions.
1) Is the rating system going to be based on Elo, Glicko, or some similar variant?
2) Does character rank have any impact on rating?
3) Are ratings tied to characters or accounts?
4) Does Bungie do anything to measure the quality of a game? While always having neck-and-neck results is unrealistic, I'd like to see the rating system take into account things like player drops and highly unexpected outcomes.
5) Is the Destiny Matchmaking algorithm specified anywhere? I know TrueSkill is.

I have read just about everything there is on Destiny (had the research division of my Company set up media monitor - yep I'm a nerd). I have read one very short comment to the effect Crucible MM takes region and skill into account. All I can say is that crucible latency for my region (Australia) during the Alpha and Beta was very low. So what ever Net code the Bungie lads and laddettes have developed it works a treat :)
