Because they'd rather have you roll into a match six deep and impress the -blam!- out of the opposing team by stomping them into the mud. What, you don't [i]want[/i] to be impressive? It was a deliberate design decision intended to shape a certain type of community. Play with your friends [i]on a team[/i], smash the crap out of strangers and their team of friends, and spread your fame. Some people won't like that shape. Life is hard. (I'd be astonished if the pvp matchmaking doesn't try to prioritize matching teams against other teams. rather than against 6 randoms.)

2 RepliesGame is just fine as it is, The pve aspects should not be messed with they are perfect and pvp is not the main goal in Destiny anyway, Can't you all stop with the complaining and crying? I feel like listening to an old recorder on repeat so just stop.. Don't be too demanding, The story and exploration is the best treat a game has, Why are all so hanged up on pvp`Play with your friends and bust alien skulls on amazing zones and grind untill you have a wicked gear set on you.

Matchmaking would allow friends to play only with each other, it seems bungie has made the decision that everyone has to play with everyone else. PVP is a relatively small portion of the game so we still have strikes, raids, nightfall missions, storymode, and exploration to play only with our friends so I guess they didn't see it as that big of a deal in the long run

8 RepliesCurrently all PvP modes reward bounty completion and marks for buying epics. Private matches would be able to exploit this currency system. I bet they will find a way to implement a private match function that will not allow people to exploit currency rewards, but as of now that would take quite a bit of delicate programming that they probably just don't have the time for.

3 RepliesGT - Ghunshot Do you like having fun? Are you a lone wolf? In a clan? Heres how this will work: Without a ranking system or custom matches anyone can play anyone correct? Yes. Simply disabling bounties and very low exp rewards will prevent cheating. Check. No harm to have customs. Now without customs where are all the clans going to go who want to pvp? Back into the crucible. And pubstomp. Over. And over. Until the pubs get annoyed and either quit or come complaining. Or the clans get bored because theyd rather be facing other teams not randons. So. A good solution which Bungie has probably already thought of is adding a true skill type ranking behind the scenes. Implementing some customs(hopefully forge world too, cmon we will just do the hard work of building maps for them). Anyone with me? Please let us know what you think

And what do you think PvE is meant for? This isnt like CoD where you have a single player short campaign with the only crucial part being Multiplayer. This game is more PvE based playing with friends.
