Do you think Bungie should have a branch that tries to take Halo back but not dedicate the whole company to it but I good pice of it and still make Destiny.

343i killed the franchise also Microsoft wont let their flagship IP become multi platform so the only way Bungie would get even close to do that would be to become Microsoft exclusive like last time.
-
They have their own projects now. Destiny is their first big project away from Microsoft in a long time and I doubt many of them are looking back at "the good ol' days." This is meant to be an ambitious undertaking for them and having an a and b squad divvied up between projects (like Ubisoft Montreal with AC3 and AC4) would take away from their ultimate goal, to create the game they want, or more specifically "they game they always wanted to play, but couldn't." Look, I loved Halo. I have sunk many an hour into the original trilogy as well as a good amount of time in Reach and ODST. However, I'm okay with the split if it means more story, more gameplay, and a little less competitive multiplayer. If I need to shoot my fellow player, I have Titanfall for that.
-
No. They moved on. Besides. I'm beginning to like 343i a bit more than I did when Halo 4 released. Considering they're giving us the MCC and Nightfall in the same year. It's going to be great.
-
Of course! They should stage a hostile takeover of 343, storm their HQ like The Expendables.
-
Nope. Because it's in better hands with 343. I'd take an intense, thematic 10-year-long story over Bungie's shit-tier improv any day of the week.
-
They are already committed to Destiny. The past is the past. They should look towards the future. Besides many people from bungie are working for 343i anyways.
-
I would love for bungie to take halo back, but for they're best interest they will most likely stick to destiny (which I have no problem with). Being said though, I loved the halo series, one of my favorite games. Unfortunately 343 has taken over the game and made halo 4. With this in mind, don't get me wrong halo 4 is a good game it just didn't feel like the halo I knew.

Edited by Jarac Rassen: 8/6/2014 11:49:40 PMNo, because Halo's time is done. As far as I'm concerned, Halo 3 was the end of the series. Halo 4 doesn't exist. Bungie's got a new thing going on with Destiny and that's fine.
-
Okay if you're going to have stupid ideas at least educate yourself.
-
Halo is no longer there project and to take it back would just show weakness
-
New IPs
-
They need to make next-gen versions of the Marathon-series of games!!
-
Halo would hold them back. This way they can bring fresh ideas and build games they want to make instead of limiting themselves to one thing.
-
Its like a pretty ex girlfriend. You think about it cause she was good looking, but you move on to bigger and better things.
-
No, why, because it doesn't matter.
-
Halo pretty much should have ended (story wise, prequels are fine) after. Halo 3.
-
While Bungie made amazing halo games, destiny is they're new creation, and there's no going back
-
Halo was part of their deal to buy themselves free, there's no way for them to get it back.
-
That's not quite how business works
-
Destiny all the way...

Edited by Greaseball8600: 8/6/2014 5:53:45 PMNo because they are doing destiny now which will also be a great game them devoting their whole studio to their biggest game only makes sense.
-
343 is doing a good job with Halo, so no. Bungie needs to spread it's wings. As long as Bungie doesn't get caught in EA's web of BS, Let them make what they want.
-
Destiny is their ongoing project and nothing will change that,
Do you think Bungie should have a branch that tries to take Halo back but not dedicate the whole company to it but I good pice of it and still make Destiny.
Nope, focus on Destiny!

They are on to bigger and better things. Sure it's awesome now to be the guys who made Halo but I don't think that's all they want to be.
