OST | Order of the Shadow Triangle | Xbox 360 & Xbox One

OST | Order of the Shadow Triangle | Xbox 360 & Xbox One First of all I would like to thank you for the time you are taking too view this thread. Every second you spend associating with OST helps us further the manifestation of our dreams, ideals, and love towards Destiny. We are one step closer to reaching our Destiny with your support. Now, to talk a little about what OST is. OST is a gaming community that will be solely based in Destiny. You may ask yourself, "What is a gaming community?" Whereas a clan is created with the intention for a group of players to play competitively, a gaming community is created with the primary purpose for it's members to have the at-most fun and enjoyment that can be achieved from playing with others. If you are a player that is looking for actions more in the specific, such as Raid Teams, Competitive PVP Teams, Nightfall Teams, and/or nearly any other activity to be found in Destiny, fear not. We have created specialized sub-groups too accommodate any particular interest you share with other OST members. In this sense, you can have fun playing with the casual members, but when wanted, you can talk other OST members that share the same goals and aspirations as you do towards your particular interest. One of OST's main goals in to a create a Quality environment for it's members, where it is easy to socialize with new people, and play in a multitude of easily accessible activities to cater to your interests. To do so we have utilized a simplistic, yet extremely efficient organization method to catalog OST members, which you, the member, can access at anytime to find fellow guardians to play with. It is known as the tag system, which has been used by other successfully large communities. Along with the tag system we have a well devised ranking system. A ranking system is beneficial in the fact that it allows newer members to quickly locate higher ranking members who can answer any question or concern they may have. On the other hand it also allows higher ranking members find other members of the needed rank. The ranking system is almost totally information based upon what rank you are. This assures you and us that higher ranking members will not be bumbling baboons, but rather intelligent, experienced players who have the best intentions for your time spent in OST. Whether you are a casual player, just looking for people to play with, or someone who craves the responsibility of leadership, OST offers acceptance to both, as well as any other, needs a player may have. Personal History of Myself, and OST - I would like to just take a moment to talk about my experiences in leadership with other commnunities and clans. Ever since I started gaming on Xbox Live I had always been fascinated with the concept of clans. A group of players who all share a common goal or envision is admirably one of the most impressive things on online gaming. Although, as you are probably already aware, many of these clans were never created with a structured foundation that would allow prominent growth to take place. Rag tag clans would reach their peak around 5 or so members, while a large one would be considered to be around 25 - 50. I was never impressed with these style of clans, as at best they were just average players who were friends. There was no style of leadership, or a definitive goal for all members to work towards. I had never experienced anything other than these until I came along a fellow community called FTG. FTG ( Full Throttle Gaming ), is one of the larger communities to primarily play in Halo games. For the first time I truly found something I liked. 1000's of members all playing the same game together and having fun. I was hooked. As a natural leader type I quickly ascended through the ranks to an officer position where I was taking care of a large number lower ranking members. All was good, but I found that other officers did not share the same type of commitment and desire I had towards the community. As me, and close personal friend of mine, were 2 of the highest ranking members in our division, we started to take charge and improve upon the division, as it was already the smallest. Although, quickly we found other officers did not want to work towards overall improvement, as well as higher ranking members limiting what we could do, the division inevitably failed. After the failure of our division we took a long hard look at all the rules set in place by FTG. Although, most of them were excellent, there was a few we did not agree on at all. We could clearly see these rules limiting and hurting the community. We knew if we could have absolute say we could have saved our division, along with many casual players that were simply forgot about during the transfer to other divisions. This is when we realized what happened. FTG had stopped putting the member first, and above all, stopped being fun. When we raised our concerns we were not heard out, and quickly dismissed as "complaing" (substitute for a 5 letter word that starts with a B) about the loss of the division. We quit. After we quit FTG we took a lot base rules they had, as well as doing research among other successful communities strong suits, and revised and improved upon it. You can think of this as the ground work for our community, a list of standards and morals that is a key point to all successful organizations. Everything else above this concrete foundation is reality created from the dreams of members heads. Now we are up to the present, and what will move us forward is only possible with your support. So without further ado: Joining - Typically for a player to join a clan you have to meet a series of prerequisites. Such as having a certain K.D., Skill Level, and/or completing a "tryout", commonly with a ludicrous or improper grading system. To join OST, all you have to do is adhere by a simple Code of Conduct and two other small things. Code of Conduct - 1. We ask for you to be 13 or Older - In personal experience it has been seen that there is a line of maturity between the age of 12 - 13. Give or take depending on the person. We try to have no members in the community younger than 13 as it may pose an annoyance to other members. Although, if you are younger than 13 and are still interested in joining please send me a message (my GT will be included below). I will evaluate you over a few days to determine if you are mature enough to play with us. Sorry for this inconvenience. 2. Members must stay in Uniform at All Times - This is most likely our most demanding rule in OST. We ask you to stay in uniform, which consists of you having a specific GT on your friends list, and having a specific Xbox Live motto. We ask you to change your motto so it can identify what rank you are, as well you being able to identify others ranks. 3. No Discrimination - In OST we treat all other members with respect. We ask you to not be racist, sexist, homophobic, or any other directional disaffection towards a particular group of people. 4. Respect Everyone - The golden rule. Treat everyone like you want to be treated. If there is ever an instance where another member is excessively rude to you, please inform a higher rank so we can take care of the situation. 5. No Unnatural Edge in Gameplay - No modding, JTagging, Lag Switching, Hacking, or anything else rather than you and your controller. 6. You have the Right to Speak to Everyone - You are allowed to speak to anyone else in the community, no matter what rank or association they have with it. If you ever have a question, other members should try their best to answer you in a reasonable time. Blacklisted Members (Below) void this rule. 7. No other Clan/Community - We ask you to have no other Clan or Community as this may interfere with planned activities we have, and create further confrontations. 8. No Contact with Blacklisted Members - A Blacklisted Member is someone who has been deemed so detrimental to the community that they are banned from the community, as well as no one in the community should have association with them. The only few ways to become blacklisted is: Hack a member of the community, threaten to hack a member of the community multiple times, on multiple occasions, threaten to assault a member of the community in real life multiple times, or commit battery or assault against a member of the community in real life. Currently there is no blacklisted members from OST, but if someone becomes blacklisted all members will be informed in a reasonable time. We ask you not to have them on your friends list, or be in lobby or party with them at any given time. 9. You have 3 Chances to be in OST - If you join and leave the community 3 times you become banned. A ban is different than being blacklisted in the since that you still can socialize with the community, just not participate in the activities or teams we coordinate. If you ever become banned you can present a ban appeal, which will deem if you should be allowed back in the community or not. If you understand and agree to the Code of Conduct, the only remaining steps for you to join is to friend request OST Lunar CA, and change your Xbox Live motto to OST Lunar CA PVT. If you are joining OST. It would be a great help if you message below, or send me a message at my gamertag: HOST Zeus. I have a clear definitive vision that OST will become one of the greatest communities to operate in Destiny, but we cannot do it without your support. If you have any questions please ask them below, and I will try to get back to you shortly. Once again, thank you for reading this message. See you star-side guardian.
