Thank you for Destiny

When I first heard that Bungie sold the rights to Halo, I always wondered what the company would go on to pursue. Halo was and still is an amazing franchise with characters and a story everyone has grown to love. As for Destiny, where does one begin? I'm not really sure. This new universe is so vast and so overwhelming(in a good way!) that at one point I had to take a step back just to absorb everything. When I played the Beta I found myself pausing more than once just to take in the scenery and the little details like the footprints I left behind in the snow as I carried on with whatever I was up to. But that very first moment when my ghost found me, I felt instantly transported to a world I couldn't wait to dive into. For me, there was something unspoken in the beginning. Somehow I knew that my role in this new universe was important and that I really wanted to be a part of it. That was the first time a game has ever had such a profound effect on me. After experiencing as much as I could during the week of the Beta, I can say with enthusiasm and a deeply felt passion that this is one of the most amazing games I have ever played and it was only a very small part of what is to come in September. I never imagined how truly ambitious this project would become and boy is it glorious! Can Destiny top Halo? I believe it already has. My friends and I agree that we have something truly unique and endlessly fun to play this winter. We look forward to venturing out into this incredible and exciting new world, blasting aliens, exploring planets, discovering secrets and ultimately building our own stories within this universe you have given to us. Thank you for all that you have done, thank you for being so involved with your fans and the community in general. Thank you for Destiny. P.S. I wish I had recorded a video from the Beta where 9 other players and I danced together in the Tower. Just one of the many fun ways with which to interact with each other. I felt like I was part of a team even if we were just goofing around. Amazing.
