Man I hope raids don't take two hours, not everyone has that kind of time for video games. I would hope for an hour tops.

Did you even bother to read the post?
-
Yup, that was the only part a cared to comment on. I hope it didn't upset you too much, I wouldn't want you to loose much sleep over a post on an Internet forum.

Me? Bungie addressed what I said when ign asked them about raids in comparison to strikes a few months ago

i expect more than 2 cause if not it is not a raid it would be more likely a strike of higher lvl
-
Hence the "raid elitism" I mentioned. It's the nature of raiding, for better or for worse.

They will take several hours at most. But I don't expect anything to be cleared under an hour even once you have it on farm status. Sorry, but not everyone will access all of the game. I don't know if I'll have the time either, that's just the way it is.
-
It will take hours until you learn the mechanics of the fight. Make plans with friends ahead of time for when you have a few hours available. If it is anything like every other MMO in existance, you wont have to worry about completing it in one sitting. I'm pretty sure it will save your groups progress ID when you kill a boss, so you can come ina couple days later and go for the next boss then.

Dont have the link but really sure bungie said their are no saves or checkpoints like strikes
-
Saves and checkpoints are a bit different from raid progression. Basically, when you defeat a boss in a raid in an MMO such as WoW, you are locked until the next raid reset which I believe used to be something like every Tuesday at 3 AM PST. So, if you go into a raid and defeat the first four bosses on Wednesday and stop for the day, when you and your group go in the following day, those first four bosses will still be down and you'll start at the mobs of the 5th boss. You can keep going in like this until that Tuesday morning when it all resets back to original form.

Ive played mmos before. Bungie said that this is sit down in one instance and run through it kind of deal. Even though you wont beat it first try

They talked about what I said months ago in ign interview
-
Edited by Guardian1050: 8/1/2014 3:16:38 AMAnd that interview I mentioned was yesterday. Things change over time, and I'm more inclined to trust yesterday's news rather than the news from two months ago. Do you not remember when the hand cannon was a secondary weapon? Or, when it was mentioned that we'd be able to explore everything we could see?
