Yes another MM raid topic.

Let's try to be unbiased here and list some things off. Advantages for matchmaking for raids: -convenience That's all i can think of. If anyone can come up with more please feel free to comment below and i will add it to the list. I am making this thread because I honestly feel we are dealing with 2 types of people who are for MM in raids. Either they are on the side of ignorance or stubbornness. Ignorance (not to be insulting) simply means they don't grasp the concept of the raid fully. They haven't done a raid in a MMO. They lack the experience of grouping up with like minded people they can trust and live through and hour or more of torment. So they don't understand the spirit or feeling of raids. The stubborn side are people who may have experienced a raid. Or at least grasp the concept. But refuse to see the feelings as a legitamate point. Refuse to accept what a raid really means and what it really asks from people. I can't honestly word it better then other people already have. You don't just decide to do a raid. You farm for gear FOR that raid. You set time aside FOR that raid. You make strats FOR that raid. It's not something you can just cram some people together and brute force. Before anyone jumps me about having time or "having a life" let me tell you. I babysit my siblings almost 7 days a week for about 10 hours a day. I cook dinner and clean the house. I job hunt on my off days and either see friends or game. I may not go to school full time. I may not have what you consider a "job" but i don't have an abundance of free time. Destiny is a game that heavily works with time. Raids take time. Special events are timed. Daily and weekly strikes are timed. The venders only hold things for an amount of time. While destiny may not be a full fledged MMO it has plenty of elements for it. If time is not on your side then don't even consider playing destiny as a major thing. Bungie does not hold any responsibility for your life. Destiny does not need to bend and cater to you. If "life" is preventing you from doing raids then plan ahead. find your friends that have the game and find a time that works for you all. Even busy people have free time sometimes. If you happen to lack friends then find a clan that shares your interests. Use your free time you have before the game to get familiar with them and learn when would be best for them for raids.
