BETA = DEMO???

Im just wondering if theres anything Bungie can do to really change the game by now, as they have been working on the title since before release of Halo 3: ODST. So close to release, I wouldnt be surprised if the final game was already stuck on the CDs and wrapped in covers in a warehouse somewhere in China. And If Im right, isnt this whole "feedback" forum just a marketing scheme?
•Option to disable aim assist. •Separate slider for ADS sensitivity. •Option to disable aim acceleration. •Option to disable drift control •Hitbox for AA can be smaller than hitbox for hitscan
• It's very well possible. I mean with only a month until the game comes out I just don't feel there is much they can change. All though there were only a few simple things I would change. I'm just confident that this close to D-day that they would be able to change anything and do it confidently. Just my opinion on the matter.

    • Even if the games are already on disc they still have ways to change it. Such as day one patches. The ability for them to adjust the game has been shown. Alterations were made between the alpha and beta

      • Anything EA calls a Beta is just a buggy demo, where they ignore all forms of feedback. But I got the impression that Bungie is at least listening to what we are saying, so I am optimistic. That doesn't mean that they will grant all requests of course, but they are aware of what the community is thinking. And I see no problem in the game getting a day one patch, after all this is an online game.

        Okay. A beta is a little more than a demo. It is a testing phase to find balance and bugs. Look at Halo Reach. The beta had cloaking very balanced. Complete invisibility, scrambled radars, deafened you, short length and long recharge speed. Now in the full game you move too fast and you become visible, you can hear things around you and it lasts for a while. Big mistake on Bungie's part as the skill has become almost useless. Point of the matter is changes can still be made but people gotta stop crying so much. They will do whatever they wanna do.

      • Besides balance it was also meant to test their servers and since over a million people played I'm sure they got a good idea of it

        • The beta build we all downloaded was made months ago. They were still working on the final build while we were playing the beta. I'm sure they have a week or two to finish it up.
