-To all you players, thinking you'll be able to complete a raid with randoms. You guys are forgetting a really big piece information. 1) Being Bungie, invited a team test the raid. Just in case you missed it, the first time "a team". Not 6 random, a f-ing team. That in its self should tell your morons, this isn't just some casual round of Gamplay. Your all, meaning your clan, and friends are going to have to get together, to plan & prep, talk strategies. Do you think you could really do a raid, from start to finish? With 5 random people, right before the raid starts? Did you just say "yes, sure I can?" You do know start to finish, means you can't get mad a Rage Quite, right!! Before, I start really getting annoyed. There is no team, in this world that wins games with just random people participating. An just in case you missed it again. Randoms can't practice properly with anyone. Oh yeah, the above questions are really rhetorical. Its a resounding NO, all around. An if all you people's, still don't understand. Failure, can also be a great teacher.

  • Splinter Cell conviction. I was playing it and me and someone else did well in it so we started playing together, we found someone else that did well and he joined us and we find our last guy randomly online also. We formed a team and started playing bc we were all playing the same mode and interested in doing that. Why can't I start a raid with 5 randoms and fail the first few times maybe 1 or 2 people will be good and i worked well with them so we start playing more raids and he has more friends or we meet more people that are looking to do raids sense the best place to find them is in the raid game. I don't want to go wandering around finding guardians that aren't prepared for it or maybe on the forums where i need to find a group on the same console that i don't know if i will get along with and now I'm stuck with them or they just lost some people because of their personalty or too many squeakers that you don't want to hear for that long

  • Have you ever played an MMO. A few months after release most raids can be easily randomed and put together an hour before take off. I will be playing with friends and my clan. What I want is a way to also do some randoms on the side. That isn't a lot to ask. In fact it affects your gameplay in no way. So why be such a dick about it?

  • You misunderstanding one thing though, there are roles in most mmo's (tank/healer/dps) and those people should go in with those classes knowing thier roles, but it's not going to be like that in Destiny. Everyone is going to be playing DPS and without some form of plan prior to, your group of randoms is just going to be chewed up and spit out over and over again. I can actually understand why this wouldn't be a feature.

  • This like you said does not only apply to PvE and raids but PvP. Although I do the best in almost all my PvP games I still almost always lose due to randoms and much rage quitting.

Flat out nonsense.. one of the hardest thing for its time was to Beat Titan HM on FFXIV . I qued up every night and failed lots of times but.. through my failures i found a pattern of things i did right and used that pattern to become one of the best to beat TITAN on my server. Randoms can win if they practice it enough. If anything BUNGIE is NERFING their vision by making it non match making so everyone can beat it on what their 2nd try ? Whoopie.. That's when everyone will be screaming for more content because they got bored nothing to do.

  • Well said, even raids in warcraft barely used the matchmaking system, it was all guild based or a group of friends who know how to play and plan together. Why then do people complain about this in Destiny?

  • Clearly I have, I have never got in a raid through mm, but I understand I can't speak for everybody in this matter.

  • I haven't either, I was always pulled in by the clan leaders. The only thing I have done through matchmaking is PvP and dungeons.

  • First of all a 6 man raid is more comparable to a dungeon in WoW. Second plenty of the 10 man raids and even 20 man raids were randomed months after release mostly so alts could get gear. Matchmaking will be a must 6months after release when newer harder raids are available and when most people out gear the current raids. The problem then will be that most people won't want to do the old raids. Thus new people or alts will have no way of bridging the gap.

  • Understandably, but we don't know that if it will happen here, all we are doing is comparing the issue with other games.

  • He's talking about REAL raids, not that deformed piece of sh*t they call the LFR. Because if you want to start/finish a non-LRF-Raid, you still have to go with your guildmates or some "random" people who check your gear and progress in advance. You clearly never really raided.

  • So I never really raided OG naxx or all of BC through the first few bosses in Sunwell.. Ok yea I know nothing. GFY. Once the end game is deeper the beginning raids will have no clans running them. Thus a new person will be shit out of luck. At least a matchmaking system gives them a chance to catch up.

Respect bro for showing excellent research skills for WoW raids, nothing more. If you really did clear those raids, then you should remember a time in that game, where you were supposed to team up with your guildmates or strangers spamming the chat, looking for people to raid with. Just imagine how frustrating it would be to raid ICC, Naxx or BT with those boons (sorry) who even fail to kill some bosses in an MoP LFR-raid. Matchmaking requires a much simpler version of the raid, therefore there has to be less/crappier loot. And I can already hear the butthurt voices of either people without friends to play or just players with no skill, how unfair it is that they don't get the legendarys/exotics shoved up their asses for putting far less time, preparation and skill into the raid. EDIT: For the catch up part: those players who only got the epics from LFR-raids could never catch up and never will, because that will always be the highest they can get if they don't look for a real raid-group, for whatever reason. If they really wanted to catch up, they would've teamed up like everybody else and not go the easy way for easy loot. Don't be such a fool! You saw (or at least heard) what the LFR did to WoW and its community.

  • GFY dickwad. I raided them. I know that I don't really care if you do or not. Fact is once you were in Naxx or BT the lesser raids COULD be randomed and were fun that way.

Is that all you have to say? Insult me and speculate about something that COULD be? If it calms you down, I'll belive you raided them, but that does not change the fact that most (!) of the people who would use MM, wouldn't be successful in a (non-nerfed) Raid. If you want to prove something, find 24 other people with no progress in the raids of this expansion, only LFG or Heroic dungeon gear and then try to do the first few raids that came out in MOP. You would fail so hard, even the Destiny-servers would tremble.

  • I like to compare it to LASO challenges from Halo... If people think that going into one of those with 3 randoms is a decent idea, they are wrong. One person dies, and you have to start all over at the beginning? You better be able to coordinate and work together!

  • It doesn't need to be a decent idea. It isn't something you are forced to do. If I want to do it once in a while why shouldn't I have the option that you will never use?

  • Nice answer to these idiots who want their matchmaking like Call of Duty (referring to zombies and other survivor modes)
