Hunter V Warlock?
Late post, but why is it that the hunters and warlocks always seem to be trying to outdo each other? (Lore wise I mean not players)
About six pieces of my armor/capes make mention of being better looking than the warlocks , or being better fighters, or just bragging that our capes are cooler. (which they are.) One says to call my cape some exotic word saying 'warlocks respect words they don't understand'.
Why the cannon fude between the two?

I kinda like the in game feud between hunters and warlocks. And yea the description for some of the hunter cloaks are pretty funny. "Look better than warlocks but don't look like your trying."

6 RepliesI think it's cause warlocks will always be the third wheel. Cause titans are leaders. Hunters are rogues(bad asses) and then you have warlocks. The third wheel of the relationship lol.

Caught in a fan, caught in the turbine of a jet, caught in the rotors of a helicopter, snag on a nail as you jump of a building and snap your neck, gets blown backward over your head blinding you, GIGANTO the LASER OGRE uses it to whip you around like a helicopter or smack you up against your Titan friends, get it caught on ANYTHING as you're riding your Sparrow in the Rusted Lands and get ripped from your saddle and defenseless as the day you were born. Yeah, capes are baaayad. Edit: BTW, I think you mean FEUD as in FAMILY.

It's like how people in the US Army call Marines idiots and Marines call Army boys pansies etc. At the end of the day they have each other's respect. Titans are too dumb to tie their own shoes so the other classes don't feel the need to compete with Titans. [spoiler]don't bother replying Titan fanboys. I don't give a shit.[/spoiler]

They are setting up for a DLC or a story line ..... There is more going on with the two classes then we know I think

7 RepliesI am a Warlock. I have unlocked the arcane secrets of the traveler and use them to banish the darkness into oblivion. The Darkness cowers in my shadow, and the innocent stand proud at my back. I protect, I serve, and I will put an end to the Darkness. But what I will not do is claim supremacy. I will not lie, for all my wisdom and determination, a Hunter will always be the first to a fight, and a Titan wont stop fighting until the fighting is done. Though those "bandits" may be unreliable at best, they bring us swift and silent victory. Without Titans we would have been overrun many years ago, for they have a strength and fortitude that we all can aspire too. I am proud, but not only of myself. We are all heroes. Only together can we cast a Light strong enough to break the Darkness. I am a warlock. But we are Guardians.

The titans are disciplined and trained so would not take part in the arguments. On the other hand the hunter and warlock are almost opposites, the warlock studies and trains for years to use their powers whereas the hunters use instinct. They also both have large amounts of cloth and compete on that front too.

the best description I've heard is that hunters are fighters who prefer to be out in the wild, were as warlocks are studious mages who like dusty books more than fighting. very different personalities will breed a certain animosity and competitiveness between than.

It's a philosophical difference. Hunter's are all about being practical and essentially taking the fight to the enemy. Kind of why I think they're named "Hunter". Whereas warlocks are more about understanding the traveler and light in a more wholesome, cultural and theoretical sense. Kind of like how scientists and military types are shown not getting along in movies and shows.

i thoroughly enjoy this aspect of the lore being the hunter that i am. neat little touch to the game. its something im really looking forward to in sept...learning why they dislike each other.
